I'm okay with foye getting minutes he looked really good tonight. Not ok with Tinsley getting as many as he did. In fact all three of our young guys off the bench got far fewer minutes then I imagined. Lindsey needs to make this easy for Corbin and make some moves.

Tinsley shouldn't even be in the league. He was done several years ago. And Carroll is, at best, end of the bench material who should only play when someone else gets hurt or fouls out.

Burks is supposedly part of the future core. How the heck is Burks only getting garbage time minutes, while TINSLEY gets about 20 minutes?

Wow, hopefully Tinsley is on the inactive list the rest of the season.

And, as Vermin said, Lindsey needs to save Corbin from himself.

The love affair is tremendous and it is rightfully so.

I would have been irked with limited minutes like what Kanter and Favors got, but getting nothing but garbage time is insulting. What's worse is freaking Foye and Tinsley were favored for Burks. Just laughable how inept and clueless Corbin is. Yeah, we got the win, but what the hell was last season for if the young guys cannot build on that "experience?"
 
Carrolle and Tinsley playing over Burks is pretty bad. But I am more concerned with Favors' and Kanter's minutes. 18 minutes for Favors. That is completely unacceptable in a game where he played very well. Kanter's minutes would have been more if not for going in for stitches but 14 for him seems low as well.

I did notice in the 1st half that Dallas went on their run right after Favors left the game. Favors had 2 baskets taken away on BS calls tonight as well or he would have had a double double in only 18 minutes.

I really think Corbin needs to go. I was very disturbed that they gave this moran an extension today.
 
As much as I like Burks, there isn't much time for him. Yeah, you could give him Tinsley's minutes.. but that's still not enough time for him to really get going. Jazz have kind of found themselves in a bind here.. and that extends to the big man as well. You could make the argument that Favors, Kanter, Carroll, and even Evans deserve more playing time (and they do), but with the roster as it stands.. I just don't see how it happens. I think trading Burks/Jefferson for a point guard would be ideal.. even though I hate the idea of trading Burks.

If Tinsley gets a DNP tonight, Burks gets about 20 minutes. If Carroll gets a DNP (and Milsap plays backup sf) Favors and Kanter get decent minutes too.
 
I thought it was Foye who was bad. The Jazz actually started playing better after Mo got his two fouls and Tinsley came in. Foye only started making his shots after the Jazz had taken control of the game.
 
I am physically upset right now 2 ****ing minutes, that is messed up!!

This is complete bull ****!!!

Burks deserve so much more than this!!

He had as many minutes as Evans and our rookie, I'm so pissed I can't think of his name!!

I've never been this upset after a Jazz win...
 
Just posted this in the other thread. Since it totally relates to this one, I'll post it here too:

I have no problem with Foye getting minutes. In my opinion, it's not a Foye or Burks decision.

My problem is Tinsley got 18 minutes. And it's not like he was playing well either. He was horrible. Dallas didn't even pretend to guard him, yet he still missed all of his shots except for a layup.

Give those minutes to Burks and he finishes with 20 minutes.

Also Carroll's 16 minutes should have gone to Favors and Kanter (with Milsap getting time at backup sf). And then the minutes would have looked like this:
Jefferson: 28
Milsap: 30
Marvin Williams: 29
Hayward: 25
Mo Williams: 29
Kanter: 20
Favors: 25
Foye: 21
Burks: 20
A few garbage time minutes for Evans, Murphy, Carroll, Tinsley, whoever.

The minutes should look like this every night, with minor adjustments for guys playing really well or really bad.

No matter how bad anyone thinks Burks is, there is absolutely no doubt that he is much better than Tinsley, with tons of potential to improve.

Clearly? Burks shot better than Foye because Foye shot like garbage. Aside from that Burks rebounded a little better but to say he Burks clearly outplayed Foye is a bit of a stretch imo.

I really do not see Carroll as the problem. Burks will be a 2 and not a 3. That matters on the defensive end. FOye and Tinsley wont be guarding SFs adn neither will Burks.

Foye and Burks on the floor together would be better that Foye and Tinsley together.
