Did Burks dress up as Carroll for Halloween?

Foye and Burks on the floor together would be better that Foye and Tinsley together.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen at some point during the season, since they played at the same time during the preseason.

EDIT: Also, if we're going off of the pre-season for who deserved minutes in this game, then there's no question it was Burks over Foye. But not only did Foye get playing time over him, so did CARROLL and TINSLEY. That's what drives me insane.

Carroll is a small forward.
Burks is a shooting guard.
Tinsley is a point guard.

Or up above where the poster thinks Carrols minutes should have been split between Favors and Kanter. Good call.

There's no doubt about that. Next to Millsap, Carroll has to be our second best "on the ball" defender on the team.
Foye completely stunk up the place until the 3rd, and started hitting a few shots.
Foye and Tinsley's minutes should've definitely been given to Burks in the first half..... but as far as Carroll goes, he's earned his time out there no questions asked.

In Burks' defense, he hasn't gotten a lot of minutes in which to show how just good he can be. That being said, I don't see him as being a superstar but he could still be a very good player.

And more than a year into his time with the Jazz, the coaches do not see the potential HOFer that most here seem to see? Maybe that is why he has not gotten the time.

That said, I would like to see him get some more mintues to see what is possible. I have seen nothing to indicate the will be more than average if that.

Carrol plays because he plays great D and hustle and hard nosed. Now they just have to convince him to quit shooting. Foye plays because he is a proven vet. Burks has proven nothing.

I wonder how much Klay Thompson would play if he if he had fallen to us.

Well his team sucks *** so his playing a lot isn't making them very good right? I'm sure Burks would start there and they would still suck.

How is countering Foye, Tinsley, & Carroll hate being turned into Burks hate? I'm pretty sure everyone wants Burks to blossom. We want the Jazz to win as well (or tank really hard).
 
If this is how we are treating Burks lets trade the GS pick because we don't care about the future. Why in the @&$& did KOC resign Tinsley and Watson they are completely over the hill.

I agree that Burks will be being misused if the minutes don't come, but disagree completely with the Tinsley and Watson argument.
They're both great veteran assets to have on your bench as mentors, and insurance policies.
But in no way should they be receiving more minutes than your core players for the future.

This is why we should get Hayward come off the bench. He can play back up 3 and 2, eliminating the need for Carroll and freeing up minutes for Burks.

Stop the presses! There was an actual reason Corbin did not play Burks and chose to go with Hayward at shooting guard with Carroll as the replacement small forward. Weird, huh?

So corbins response was to go BIG by playing the 6 foot 3 inch foye at shooting guard instead of the 6 foot 6 burks? Ok.

I can only guess that he was implying that Carroll took Hayward's minutes at SF and Hayward took Burks' at SG. There really are not enough minutes to go around anywhere this season besides at the point guard spot. It's going to be an interesting 10-15 games watching Coach Corbin trying to figure out his rotation.

For myself and so many of us it is so easy. either play foye at backup point and burks at backup shooting guard, or play tinsley at back up point and reverse the minutes for foye and burks in game one....problem solved and all the bitching about our wings minutes stops.

Then for our bigs..... bring millsap and jeffersons minutes down a bit and bring favors and kanters minutes up a bit.... Done and done. Jazzfanz is at peace
