Do any of you drive hybrids? (prius, volt, leaf, etc)

2007 Prius. Nearly 100k miles, had 4 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I was looking for a fuel-effficient car for commuting as I was tired of feeding the cars I had at the time. We drive a lot out of state and I was commuting 40 miles one way to work each day. I got it for a great price, maybe 2 grand more than the civic I was looking at buying - and to get the same options I have the civic would have been more, and the Prius gets better mileage than the Civic.

I figure I have racked up over the life of the car so far better than 44 MPG average for all driving and regularly get 48-52 MPG. I was splitting time with my Corvette and with a jeep cherokee before, so I figure I have saved myself around 5 grand over the other cars I had in the time I have had the prius.

I really enjoy driving my Prius. It is a fun little car and I have been very pleased with it. I am looking at trading it in on a new Prius provided Toyota has any available in the near future with the mess in Japan.

'06 Prius for work a little. I hate it. The display is a death warrant as is the rear view mirror. '10 Civic for work a little. Great car to drive, but the Prius seems much more efficient at shutting off the gas engine.

I thought you'd be an H2 man, with some balls hanging off the rear hitch and a Jagermeister sticker in the back glass. I'm disappointed, to say the least.

I have a 2010 Lexus RX 450H hybrid. Drives silky smooth and has a pretty nice pick up to it and gets really good gas milage for a SUV. Would recommend.

now, I KNOW you have a Creotine sticker somewhere on your car. You might need it to offset the fact that this is a total chick car.

'creotine' was meant as a placeholder, guy. You can insert whatever performance enhancing substance you are currently using.

The Madame drives a 2011 Honda CR-Z.

She loves it and is on average in the 45 MPG range. Not suitable for most people though since it only has two seats.

I didnt realize so many of you would be driving these things.

are you guys cool with amount of environmental harm you guys are causing?

Hey, if your going to be an *** you may as well do it with correct spelling.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Marcus again.

are you referring to the batteries these cars have? I haven't kept up with the evolution of this technology.

She must be driving it in full eco mode with the cvt and not the 6-speed, or she just knows how to drive it well. My neighbor bought one and gets about 30-34mpg, but he told me it drops to mid 20's when he is in sport mode. He has not been real happy with it from that aspect. Maybe there is a trick to it or something.

Wait... what?

I drive a Prius and I love it. I am 6'4", so it tends to be a bit cramped in there, but I don't give a rats ***. I paid 30 bucks to fill my tank the other day and got 420 miles out of it. I don't care if my car came with an iron mouth attached to the front that required I feed it baby trees in order to start, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
