Chris Paul’s preference is to stay with the Clippers but he wants them to hire an African-American coach, according to multiple league sources. The Clips’ best bet for keeping Paul with a long-term deal might be to hire Nate McMillan, who can have the Pistons job and any number of bad-to-so-so jobs that are out there, as the replacement for Vinny Del Negro, whose current contract is expiring and is not getting a new deal.

I'm trying to figure out why CP3 wants an African American coach.

Lets assume that Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Jerry Sloan, or Pops were looking to coach the Clipps. You mean to tell me that cp3 would reject those guys and elect instead for an African American coach?

I thought people were supposed to begin to be judged by their character and competence... Not by the color of their skin like 50 years ago? Here we are in 2013 and we're going through nonsense which... Most of us saw as nonsense in the 60s? Have we really progressed so little?

So why is a black, CP3, being so racist? I don't get it. Shouldn't he want a damn good coach regardless of skin color?
