The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing an agreement to send a future first-round draft pick to the Boston Celtics for the rights to hire coach Doc Rivers, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

I concur! Personally, although I don't dislike Doc....he's overrated as a coach....and would rather have the post game interviews of Stan Van Gundy, win, lose or draw!

Yeah, the funniest part about catering to player whims like that is that they can still do whatever the hell they want. It's a bad road to go down and CP3 insisting on a black coach is a sign of just how bad it can be.

Best response is to trade the player while he's still under contract so you can get value back. Of course, you should also make sure you retain the coach instead of backing him into a corner, giving him no support, and making him feel like he HAS to resign.
