Thats what we should have done the year we ended up with exum. Lose a few more and we might have ended up with embiid. That can be the difference sometimes in losing a few more games or winning a few meaningless games. That team that season never had any chance at the playoffs like this team this season does. It was incredibly stupid that year to play the vets over the young guys.
I agree and disagree !!! I would put it a a different way. I think that the vets play too much min, min that should go to the young guys. Youngs guys need old vets to improve and learn about every part of the game, specially with a young coach. But playing old guys 30-32 min every night is a bit stupid. We have no chance to win anything this year at best 1st round of PO. Not worth it.

People forget that Embid was considered damaged goods at the time due to his fractured spine and both Wiggins and Jabari Parker were taken ahead of him. In their selection, Philly treaded where many feared to tread, then rehabbed him for two years before he could actually compete. Meanwhile we were so hopelessly in love with finding the next Kobe Bryant, fresh and unproven, we completely overlooked Smart, Randle and Levine. So given our poor judgement who knows what we would have done in better position. Meanwhile, after the 6th pick, we had the 23rd where we took Hood and the 35th where we took Stokes and traded him while Grant and Nikola Jokic were still on the board. Clearly our own poor scouting and selections were more damning than our draft position.

My guess is that the Jazz will keep doing all they can to win games as all coaches and players should. If Danny wants to tank it is on him to blow it up. My guess is that we don't blow it up and that we don't finish in the bottom 8. Trading vets will only happen if we get what Danny views as something to good to pass up.

I agree.

I dont think Conley has much value at this point in any trade scenario... maybe a contender who loses their starting PG to injury could offer domething worthwhile for him.

As much as JC raised his stock early season, I dont think we will get good value trades for him either. I do see him as a potential chip in a trade where we would look to upgrade, but I dont see anyone coming to chase him.

KO might be a more interesting target for some teams because he has a more unique skillset for a guy his size. But we likely wont trade him unless we drop to middle of the pack first.

Other players of value I wouldnt even consider trading unless the offer was over the top. And for over the top offers, I would trade anyone at this point of our rebuild.

I didnt forget any of that. Embiid went exactly where i figured he would. Without the injury concerns he would have gone 1 or 2 but even with the injury concerns it was clear that he would be picked ahead of smart, exum, randle, gordon, etc.

Anywho the point is that team was never gonna win more than 30 games and everyone knew it. Yet corbin still played richard jefferson, jamaal tinsley, etc over young guys. And that was stupid. Regardless of who would have been picked where.

If this years team does really start losing a ton then i will be really pissed to see gay in the rostation and conley should get very little minutes or be traded.

I need to make some pastrami. It has been too long. Love that stuff. Rueben is the best sandwich ever invented. Probably a gift from the gods, tbpmfhwymf.

I too love pastrami. Philly is choice number 1 for me and anything with pastrami is choice number 2

Well, guess I'm getting Crown Burger for lunch now

Arctic circle has a really good pastrami and swiss burger. I think it is even better than crowns. But you cant beat the fries and fry sauce at crown (especially that fry sauce)

I wish we had an Arctic Circle anywhere in Vegas. Not only are the milkshakes overpriced here, but nobody makes them bigger and better tasting than Arctic Circle.

I think I paid seven dollars for a strawberry banana shake at Handel’s the other day and it was like this handmade ice cream icon never taught its employees how to make a shake. It was an absolute watery mess (as thick as a Starbucks cappuccino maybe). The only blessing is that it was about 1/4 the size of a large Iceberg shake. Later tried one at Fatburger- it was $6, again 1/4 sized and nothing but a sugary mess!

Since covid and all the buffets and casino food specials went away, not much to recommend this town. Only thing keeping me here I think is that it’s tennis paradise with perfect year round tennis weather and lots of people to play with.

Thanks, I love new places to check out! Truthfully Vegas is chock full of modestly priced killer eateries which is another selling point. Perfect for people like us that don’t gamble. However, traffic is getting ridiculous and lots of riff raff.

BTW right after I posted this, an ad for DQ popped up on this site! That ad has never shown up on my phone before. I had absolutely no idea that I was being tracked that closely! Somebody or something is actually reading my texts - how creepy is that?

Course on the plus side I was thinking after I posted this that I needed to Google DQ Las Vegas! For real!!! And then, like some cryptic message from Heaven….or Hell, the DQ pop up appears! Pretty spooky!

Yeah the tracking on this site in particular is pretty on the nose.
