Alright kids. 1-10, rank them. Who you got?
1. Andrew Wiggins - best talent in the draft after Embiid's injury. Otherworldly athleticism. Hasn't even begun to pull it all together but could be an all-timer if he does.
2. Jabari Parker - he'll get you 25 a night, is a stand-up guy, and will be a sieve defensively.
3. Joel Embiid - broken foot be damned, he's worth the risk outside of the top 2.
4. Dante Exum - Unproven, can't shoot, but I'll take a lightning quick, 6'6", 18 year old point guard any day. Should be a terror getting to the rack, as well as defensively.
5. Marcus Smart - Again, jump shot needs serious work, but I want a big lead guard with a bit of a mean streak. I would love Smart at #5 and a swap of TB for another lottery pick.
6a. Noah Vonleh - Potential is there, but I can't get excited about him at #5. He's a few years away from being an impact guy.
6b. Aaron Gordon - Love him at #5 if he's Kirilenko, Marion, or Kawhi Leonard. Hate him if he's MKG. Love his game, just don't know how confident I am that he'll ever be an impact guy offensively. An entire offense stagnates when one guy gets the Ronnie Brewer treatment.
8. Julius Randle - Really question his abiltiy to play the 3, and I don't know if he can bully NBAers en route to a double-double every night like he did in college.
9. Elfrid Payton - Wouldn't shock me if we were sneaky high on this guy. I like size, length, and athleticism at the PG spot in today's NBA. Not sold on TB long-term.
10. Gary Harris - don't hear a lot of talk about him, but I love his game. He's nails. Will never be a superstar, but I think he's a quality NBAer for 10 years.
