Embassy attacked in Libya

I really don't know what everybody was expecting here when the Obama administration conducts unconstitutional covert wars in Libya.
It's called blowback..... learn it.

And conducts military missions in sovereign nations like Pakistan while increasing military presence in Afganistan. And waging a cyber war against Iran.

And yet at the same time he's an apologist to the Muslim people - go figure.

Looks like it is spreading. That is Libya, Egypt, Yemen and Lebanon (protest only).

The best quote from that link by Egypt's president. "We condemn strongly ... all those who launch such provocations and who stand behind that hatred," Morsi said, adding that he had asked Obama "to put an end to such behavior."

Yep, I'm sure Obama can just shut down production and distribution of a film because it makes a lot of Muslims angry.

That's how Arabs generally operate. And by the way, the Middle East was pretty tolerant not long ago. Dalamon is not talking about the middle ages. This fundamentalist plague is quite recent, and the ME was well on its way to modernity less than 70 years ago. The situation with Islam was similar to Christianity nowadays (very few gave a rat's *** outside of personal practice), and this new breed of Islam was born due to a series of unfortunate events, and some disastrous policies by Britain and a few other European nations.

There is a big difference between Dalamon's view and mine, of course. To Dalamon, Islam had been corrupted by those people, and a true form of Islam is still a great and peaceful religion. In the correct view, Islam and other religions are fully man-made, and there is no such thing as "good Islam" and "bad Islam". There is only what we have today. What ought to be is irrelevant until it becomes the norm. And Islam in its current form is a horrible and dangerous thing that must be opposed and condemned by any moral individual, including all reasonable Muslims. Regardless of the "not every Muslim is a terrorist" simple mindedness, ten of millions of Muslims do support, or at least sympathize, with the militant Islamic view. Dalamon can debate his version of Islam with other Muslims all he wants. The debate of "what Islam truly says" should not matter AT ALL to anyone who's not a Muslim. I don't even see the point of bringing it up. Until the Muslim world changes its ways, people must take a firm stand against it.

I think the opposite. We ought to put out a film like that every day. Give them so much to rage about thaqt they overdose on rage, until the whole thing becomes banal and no longer noteworthy to most of the Muslims who get angry today.

What I cannot believe is that the US govt exposed the actual name of the film maker. Read their words too- Hillary said that Washington does not approve of the movie, so they provide the name of the guy that did so that the muslim world can vent their considerable anger. And the press is spreading it around. Americans are blaming this guy for the death of others.

You're talking about people that are willing to kill others over their religous beliefs. They don't belong in this century. No amount of coddling or condemnation will ever help.

Not this American. While I think the director was foolish to make the movie he is not the guilty party. The men/women that stormed the embassy and fired the rocket are the guilty parties.

1) I'm not aware of any official US documents listing gthe pseudonym.
2) It is a pseudonym.
3) The filmmaker is a sleaze.

Update: Wednesday afternoon, actors involved in the project began to speak out, saying they were deceived about the nature of the film. CNN obtained a statement purported to be from the entire cast and crew, saying that, “[w]e are 100% not behind this film and were grossly misled about its intent and purpose.”

One of the actresses involved with the film, Cindy Lee Garcia, gave an interview to Gawker on Wednesday in which she said that she and the other actors on the project were duped by the Bacile. According to Garcia, lines from the script were overdubbed in post-production.

“It was going to be a film based on how things were 2,000 years ago,” Garcia said. “It wasn’t based on anything to do with religion, it was just on how things were run in Egypt. There wasn’t anything about Muhammed or Muslims or anything.”
