Trump has always been an obvious pedophile. Oh man, I can’t imagine the crack in the MAGAverse this is creating. Let alone all you normal people who got completely taken for ride. It’s too bad it was so very destructive and will continue to be.

I honestly believe that if Trump is front and center on the list he would have been better off releasing it and making excuses about why his name is on it than what is happening now. They would have believed his lie or done the mental gymnastics many mention above. But Trump is tearing down the monkey bars with the way this is being handled, no one is going to be able to do the back flips necessary to make this make sense.

He is blue balling the MAGA base. That is where the passion is coming from. That is where the anger and frustration are coming from. That is why this one is different. This was a major conspiracy that has been being driven by MAGA (and face it, most of you reading this, regardless of party, have adopted a B-grade Hollywood script as your idea of what "really happened") with promises that they would validate all those who so diligently "do their own research." Now not only are they withholding that validation, but doing so in a way that rips the blinders off the cultists and allowing them to finally see that the emperor has no clothes.

The funniest thing to me would be if they don't even have the list. I mean a list exists, that's what Epstein was doing, collecting blackmail bait. But that doesn't mean the FBI is in possession of it. None of this means Epstein didn't kill himself. They might be finally being honest that what they released is what they have, but they either do have a lot more or pretended to have a lot more.

I'll liken it to Saddam Hussein. He pretended he had WMDs to protect himself from Iran. The U.S. used his bluff to justify an invasion. Maybe we knew he didn't have any, maybe we didn't, but it didn't matter either way, it gave us everything we needed to invade. Trump claimed there was a list and that he would be the one to release it. His base is going to get that list or burn this **** to the ground.

Okay, I think I was wrong. Monday comes, the news cycle resets and MAGA forgets. I can feel the energy drain from this issue already. The fury, the anger, the passion.

I talked to a Trump supporter over the weekend about this and found the reaction interesting. At first they expressed frustration and confusion but later on their attempt to make sense of it took a kind of dark turn.

In the past they’ve had a QAnon-esque belief in a “deep state.” They believed Trump was fighting against it, and the Epstein files were a part of that fight. Pretty standard Trumpland stuff. In the context of this belief system though, Trump’s actions last week don’t make any sense so their conspiracy theory has shifted.

They now believe that rather than a deep state made up of US actors, Israel is the one pulling the strings. Epstein must have been operating his pedo-ring at their behest. They stopped short of suspecting Trump himself of any wrong doing, but said that Epstein/Israel must have had information that is damaging to some of Trump’s associates. They also offered this as an explanation for our continued military and financial support of Israel.

How weird

Yet another conspiracy ends up blaming the Jews I mean globalists. Kinda interesting how far right wingers always end up blame the Jews for everything. Damn globalists!
