Basically rating guys they don't know at the bottom. We know that Ingles should actually project to rank higher than Jeremy Evans, who is ranked higher, but it a more known commodity within the national sports media.

Pretty much 200-400 is a garbled mess anyway, so no need getting up in arms for bench players, especially rookies and international imports, to be rated low.

The team rankings might be giving away spoilers. The already have all the players for a team listed in a non alphabetical order. After looking at Utah's list it has some surprises:

Hayward
Gobert
Favors
Burks
Hood

Those are the top 5. Seems ESPN might have Gobert ranked higher than Favors.

LLF. Joe Ingles was critical member of best defense in league. How he is not ranked top 100? Like Favors is not top 50.

you're funny.

Trey Burke came in at 195

Rodney Hood came in at 185

No comments on either of them yet.

So true. It makes no sense : many of those players are very talented athletes lacking that extra "thing" but who could be very good contributors in the right situation where they can confine themselves to a limited role à la James Jones in Miami with Wade and Lebron for example. All rankings are subjective, but for deepish bench players they make no sense as how much they contribute depends so so much from their environment / use.

Burks just came in at 142. Up 20 spots from last year when he was 162.

If the Jazz have 4 top 60 players then there is no reason we cannot be in the playoffs and looking at contending in a year or two.

That means almost our entire starting rotation is better than over half the starters in the league.

If you are right, please let it be so, than the Jazz are going to be elite very quickly. I'd also add Hood's name to Burks in players that take a big leap up this latter this season.

Also, I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
I already put 500 bucks on the jazz beating their over/under season win total.
And when I go to Vegas later this month I'm going to put some money on them making the playoffs too

Barring major injuries I expect the Jazz to easily pass 40 wins.
