Some other list from other sites have come out ranking players and Jazz havent faired well, but ESPN is much higher on Jazz players this year. 100-50 was released. Lauri will certainly be in the top 50 somewhere, giving the Jazz 5 players in the top 100 according to ESPN.
  • 98: Sexton
  • 90: Collins
  • 77: Clarkson
  • 70: Kessler

Well 5 in 100 is good since its way more than the average which is 3.33 per team.

But only 1 in top 50 is the problem. Hopefully we solve it by the end of this season.

I was about to say that I thought it was pretty impressive he’s already ranked 70 after just his rookie season.
It's probably more than he deserves overall. Still needs to prove that he can anchor a top 10 defense. The Jazz should have enough defensive talent as is that it shouldnt be an issue is Walker really is a top 50 player.

I'm not disagreeing with you.... Can you please explain (or even rank) where you're seeing defensive talent?

^So obviously Lauri is our best player, was anyone missed between Lauri and the 4 in the OP? No one comes to mind. Average team would have 3.3 players in the top 100, so five is nice. On the other hand, four were #70 and below, and our top guy is #28 which is a low ranking for a top player on a team (side note: these rankings mean nothing, and this post is worthless.) but seems about right for the Jazz, all things considered. I hope some of our rookies are good.

League is just absolutely stacked these days. Did the annual fantasy basketball draft the other day, and couldn't believe how many quality players are still there to fill out benches, or not drafted at all. Never been a better time for expansion.

ALso, holy **** ESPN's list was awful.

Giannis over Jokic?

Banchero at 30? Banchero isnt even better than Franz.
Its a projection of this upcoming season. They use the base question "who is gonna have the better year" with 2 options and the 150 or so reporters compare hundreds of guys to each other and they count the score/ranking accordingly.

So Dame factors in to that. I think Jokic is gonna have the better year, but people are so hyped about the Dame+Giannis fit.
