Eurobasket 2025

Finland-Montenegro 85-65
Lauri 31min, 26/13/3, 8/16, 3p 1/6, FT 9/10, +18, 3 steals

Lauri had some rim game in 1st half but he concentrated on bricking 3s in 2nd half. Well I guess it was okay, the audience was clapping a bit.
Yep Lauri and his elite rimjobs. Love those rimjobs.

France-Slovenia game was good this morning. I wonder if/when France will decide to tighten up their rotation.
Don't think so. Think Fauthoux will use hot guys and not limit his rotation. Francisco come from the bench and we awesome. The strengh of french team is being deep, not superstar but many good players ( Risacher, Sarr, Coulibaly, Yabesele....). They will be tough to beat.
Donkic is really good but such a crying baby.... so annoying.

When does Finland play anyone good?
That depends how you define "good". Montenegro is above Finland in FIBA rankings, and Finland just beat them yesterday. Lithuania is ranked at 5 in FIBA Eurobasket "Powerrankings" (Finland at 9), and in 2023 they won Team USA at the World Cup (but they lost to Germany yesterday); the match vs them is tomorrow. Germany is the reigning world champion, they won World Cup in 2023, and is second (Serbia with Jokic is of course number 1) in Eurobasket "Powerrankings", and the team is looking very good; the match against them is on Wednesday.

With yesterdays win over Montenegro, Finland secured a play-off spot, and they also made sure they are not going to face Serbia (nobody wants to face Serbia before the final match) in the first round of play-offs. If Finland wins even one of the remaining two matches, they might have a slightly easier path in the play-offs (ie they might avoid Serbia, Germany or France in the play-offs second round (assuming they win their first play-off round match, of course)).

This is incorrect mate. You just assume that Serbia won't lose to Turkey. Turkey has been really good and either of them could win their group, thus, it's still possible team Finland could meet Serbia in the first knock out game. Finland has to pull off a surprise against Lithuania tomorrow, to make the path forward significantly easier.
