They either tell you what they want and get mad that you didn't think of it first or they take what you thought of first back to the store. Or they forget that you overspent just two months back at Christmas and wonder why you didn't think of them at Valentines. And then two months after that on mother's day. And then they want you to outdo your last gift by going even bigger.

Christmas, Valentine's day, and birthday (in a 4 month span) I buy my wife a nutri ninja cause her blender thing broke, a deep freeze cause she always says there isn't room in the freezer for stuff, a dust buster vacuum thing cause or other one was about dead, dinner at ruths chris, an hour massage, and a really cool firepit.

Spent close to $1000 combined and I don't make much money at my job and I am trying to save up for the incoming child.

She hated the nutri ninja (she bought herself a different blender and now I use the nutri ninja), has yet to use the deep freeze (I bought 1/4 of a cow and put the meat in there since she isn't using it. She still just crams **** into the regular freezer), she still has not used the massage. Don't think she liked the dust buster gift.

She did love the ruths chris dinner and she likes the firepit a lot at least.

Thanksgiving is the best cause there are no gifts, lots of food, football, family, no work but still get holiday pay, and naps.

No gifts is the important part.
