What's new

Favorite Basketball

Kind of leaning toward the Molten just because I will ****ing know if anyone has it who shouldn't be playing with it from across the gym.

No one likes the Nike Elite?

haha! If none else has it it's harder to lose it!

I bought a Nike Outdoor 500 for $4 last year, whenever I go to the campus gym, the pro guys wants to play with it instead of the Spaldings or Moltens. Since the Elite ones are over 50 bucks, they must be real good.

Btw, if you have small hands like me and want to grab the ball with one hand, don't go with the real official Euro balls, they are slightly bigger than the NBA balls. It makes the shooting good but dribbling harder. But again, it is only if you have small hands. If you are over 6' or so, you probably won't feel much difference.

Not sure where you'd get this over there, but this is the one I like right now. Better for indoors.
Great for shooters.

I know I'm in the minority but to me Wilson Evolution is not that good - too spongy and it retains too much moisture if you play on a day or in a gym where it happens to be humid.

I like The Wave much better. I own one - much better grip/feel

Spalding's have come a long way since their finger-breaking days of the past. I have the one they use in the NBA. Although as someone said earlier they take a long time to break in and they tend to become warped after a while.

Evo and The Wave are kind of equal footing for me. I like dribbiling and catching the Evo better, but as far as shooting goes I like The Wave better.

Personally I like playing with my own balls better. I tried playing with someone else's balls, and while I could tell he liked that I enjoyed his balls, it was still not the same as playing with my own balls. I played with a girl's balls once, but it just felt weird and unnatural.

I had a Wilson Jet for about 12 years, by far the best ball I ever played with. It was always the ball of choice in pickup games, but it was exclusively an in-door ball. For playing outside I like the Spalding Neverflat. Has good grip, bounces well, always consistent. It is decent for indoor or outdoor but shines on outdoor courts imo. I like the Spalding official leather game ball for indoor play. I have played with many of them listed here and I seem to do best with the spaldings since I can't get a wilson jet anymore like the one I had in the 80's to 90's. The newer jets are different and don't seem to work as well for me.

I bought a Molten GL7 for 52 bucks, best money I've ever spent. Superb responsiveness, improves shooting. Deffs pick one up. They're usually >$100 though

Better get that new ball quick so you can get back to your bball crew:

Lol, best stereotype video yet.

I pulled a "Miss every 3, but bank in the game winner" yesterday. It's the most rewarding and embarrassing feeling at the same time.
