Favors to Lakers

What's realistically the highest any team would actually give Favors a year? No way he's 20 million a year. I think 12 mil is max.

Here is what I will say, if favors was allowed to play more in that rockrts series we would have won.

Gobert looked wack out there in the 4th.

Of course, this deal would be a steal, but maybe there is a 3-team deal with Lakers, Pelicans and Jazz where Lakers get AD and Favors and Utah gets either Jrue Holiday or a couple of the Lakers young players that Pelicans don’t want.

Ain't nobody trading for an $18M Favors.
The only chance Utah has at trading him is at next year's deadline in a package deal with a first round pick. Then he's an expiring contract.

Besides, every other team that may want him knows Utah is likely going to just waive him in order to sign FA's. Wouldn't be surprised to see him have to settle for an MLE contract.

I want Kuz so bad.....
Me too.

If the Lakers pulled off an AD or Beal trade and Kuz made a big issue about going to either team, I wonder if we could get involved to get him.

Maybe something like...

LA gets AD
Utah gets Kuz and Solomon Hill
NOLA gets draft picks from LA, #23 from Utah, Favors, and players from LA

LA gets their guy
Utah gets Kuz but has to take back Hill
NOLA gets to shed Hill, gets a ton of picks and players for AD

Is there any way that Favors’ contract can be restructured???Something like 4 or 5 years at $10-12m per guaranteed. This way his salary is more in line with a back-up center and he gets more guaranteed dollars, somewhere between $50-60m total. Seems good for both Utah and Favors to restructure if it can be done. Favors would have to be happy with his back-up/part-time starter role as he did in the Rockets series and he doesn’t seem like a money-first kind of guy. His jersey will one day hang in the rafters.
