Exactly. So I don't want to hear another person saying "we are going all in" for a title. You don't shed an asset with a useful player if you are "all in".If we are keeping Conley, we are not getting out of the luxury tax.

And I'm not even a massive believer in Favors, but he can spend minutes guarding AD, Giannis, Jokic, etc.
Disappointing

It didn’t have to happen though.I am but I’m not. It’s a move that had to happen and I’m excited as **** to see Udoka who has massive upside imo.

We get a trade exception now… but no way we use all of it.It didn't have to happen. We could have just paid Favors and played Doke more.
I'm a big guy always pushing trades, so I'm going to look for angles for how this can be turned into a positive.

We have a $5 million one that expires in a few weeks I have no expectation that we will use.We get a trade exception now… but no way we use all of it.
what were you expecting? OKC is doing us a favor by taking Favors and his bad contract. I do not like giving away draft picks but in this case we had to do it. The only good thing is that first might be very low the next few years and the 2nd we got may be a high second round pick because OKC is still going to be bad for awhile. That is if the 2nd is from OKC. This is a good business move but it could also be a good basketball move if Udoka gets playing time and does well. We have to find out if he can play or not. I just hope this is our front office thinking.Couldn't the Jazz get more than a 2nd rounder for him?
Yep. They will trade him to some place like Boston for Tristan Thompson straight up and get cap space for next summer. Rinse and repeat.Easiest prediction ever: Thunder play him regular minutes. He puts up stats on a terrible team. They flip him at the deadline or offseason as an asset.
