Never played flappy bird nor know wtf it is.
No idea what my IQ is.

Spend my days trying to figure out what else I could do to possibly be happier.

It makes some people happy to play flappy bird and take IQ tests.

Are you guys taking legit IQ tests. When I was given one in elementary school there was a teacher reading me the questions and marking down my answers. Was it like that for you guys are was that just because I was a kid?

I had one of those too. That's a legit one. The one's you can take for free online aren't legit.

As cool as everyone on this forum is, if they were legit tests not everyone would be 120+. We could be defying the odds here tho, who knows

Ya, the free site things are designed to make you feel like a badass.

Isn't an essential element of an IQ test that there is a time limit to answer questions or something??

on the app. square bizness.

Just tried Flappy Bird. Got a high score of 5, quickly realized how additive it was going to become, so I put my iPhone away and went back to studying.

Now I'm on Jazzfanz. I'm realizing how addicting this is getting, so I shall log off.

Have taken 4 legit IQ tests in my life. 1 I initiated on my own in Jr. High just because I was interested, then 3 to get into and then associated with Mensa. Weighted average across all 4 was 142. High was 150, low 131. But IQ tests are tricky. There are definite cultural and racial, gender, etc. biases built into most of them. And an IQ test for a blind person has to be made differently, in fact radically differently, than for a sighted person. Hearing usually has little impact, but the visual differences are kind of amazing. More modern IQ tests are being developed so they are almost reading comprehension tests to weed out other little problems, such as color blindness. One test I took had a series of patterns, which when combined with numbers, were used to place patterns on different sides of a 3 dimensional object. The problem was they used shades of red and green for the patterns, so my friend taking the same test, who is strongly red-green color blind, saw different patterns than the rest of us. It was very interesting, and is one thing that shows that realistically IQ testing is haphazard and far from definitive of anything meaningful. But it was fun.

And most of the people I met through Mensa were dicks.

Are you being serious? An average of 142 is insane. Please understand why I would hesitate to believe anyone who says that on an internet message board, but that's really, really high. Kudos

Yeah, my understanding is that 140 = genius...whatever that means, of course.

It means you should probably host a poker game where you serve your own hand crafted beers. I could be wrong, but all signs point in that direction.

Actually the scale depends on the test. On 3 of the ones I took it was listed as "gifted" or similar.

Here is one anyone can try as a warm up.
