He is being discussed on the board as taking him in the 1st round. In the 2nd I don't really care, I just don't want him in the 1st.

Better defender? At this point I would say yes.
Better rebounder? Undecided. Davis, Jones and MKG hogged all the rebounds.
Better Hustle? Yes to Caroll
With that being said, Miller has a higher ceiling and his ability to shoot outweighs the things that Carroll has over him. I would guess that within a years time that we will all see that Miller is the clear favorite to get more playing time.
On a side note, Miller's willingness to take whatever role was asked of him is a skill. It take some mental strength and discipline to do whatever is asked of you while not ruining the locker room. I know that you used this as a negative but I see this as a huge positive. If Millsap had this mentality then the Jazz would be sitting pretty next year and this logjam at the 4/5 position would not be as big a concern as it is right now.
You're spot on with Millsap. To be fair, Millsap hasn't been that outspoken against a sixth-man role. However, at least for next year, I think we all recognize that we're better off with Paul coming off the bench. Him as the 6th man makes the logjam substantially simpler.
Millsap is in my starting lineup and it isn't even close.
TRADE AL.
I agree with you about this as well. If we cannot get rid of Jefferson then Millsap needs to be coming off the bench. Favors has come out publicly and said that he is not a 5, he is a 4. Millsap is not the player that Favors is and it is not even close.
If it's my team, and we can't trade Jefferson, then it's Al that comes off the bench. If I weren't busy/lazy, then I'd build a clear case demonstrating why this should be the outcome.
TRADE AL
I gave you several examples of guys who don't have text book shots who improved their shots or were able to score once they got in the league. The kid is what 19 years old and you act like he has zero chance of being able to score in the NBA. I agree he will never be an elite scoring but he can be a 17 -18 pt scorer with 7 rebounds 4 assists and 2 steals and an all-defensive team candidate. I think he will draw a lot of fouls and get to the line.

Lol. Look, I'll try to explain this slowly. Shawn Marion has a really weird shot, but the release point is the generally always the same. Regardless, most of his scoring was done by using his elite athleticism and shooting wide open jumpers. Barbosa also used his elite speed to do most of his scoring. The problem with MKG is his release point, which is different on almost every shot because he double clutches. I'm not acting like he won't be able to score, but if you think he's ever going to score 18 ppg then you're in for a pretty big shock. I've already detailed the reasons why he won't ever be an average scorer in the NBA, but hell...I'll lay down a bet.
If MKG ever averaged 18/7/4/2, I'll pay you $500. You don't even need to offer me anything, that's how positive I am that he will never have a season like that.
On a side note, I'd like to reply to what I have bolded. We've been hearing a ton of this, how Miller is willing to take the side role. I actually have a problem with this. According to PKM, Miller is one of the most, if not the most skilled player on Kentucky's team. Clearly this was a team stocked with NBA talent. Yet with all those skills, he's ok with taking the side role. To me, that's a sign of somebody who doesn't want to be great. Maybe I'm being way off base, but I actually do see this as a concern.
Don't be lazy.

If we really want Tony Wroten we can just sign Terrance Williams.
