What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

KCP is really a floor spacer, but he's a good enough athlete to play some defense, fill the lane and score at the rim--things Foye doesn't do anymore.

Yeah exactly having another floor spacer doesn't hurt.

Though ideally a Schroeder & Karasev combo would be great.

Who do you want at #14, Hack?

BTW, your picture looks so grown up.

I thought you would never ask.

It depends on who's mock you off and who you think will be there.

This is order of players I would like.

Gobert
Whitey
Archie Goodwin
Shane Larkin
Giannis Adetokunbo
Dennis Schroeder

I wouldn't mind getting Whithey with the first and Larkin with the second. That's going off draft express and who would be there. Whithey is going to be a pretty good player, and that assures us that Millsap and Jefferson are gone. Then picking up Larkin gives us hope that Mo is gone. I think both those players have the chance to be pretty good players.

Or maybe Goodwin with the first and Schroeder or Giannis with the second if they are there.

burks can play that 6th man role, now that he has learned how to handle the ball and run an offense.

Hoping he can turn into Harden lite.

Are you crazy? You really wanna get someone to play in front of Burks? Some unproven player? That **** wouldn't even make sense after making Burks scratch and claw to get minutes because of the vet rule around here.

That's what I was saying. Wtf has Kentavious done to suggest he's a lottery guy that should start ahead of Alec?

Okay, first of all, Gobert is like the French version of Javalle McGee, although likely less a knucklehead. Nonetheless, he'd get 15 minutes of back-up duty at center at most. He might be available at 14. Most mocks have him in the 8 - 12 range.

Withey is a good back-up center, but he's not a guy you take at 14. Maybe 21.

I think Goodwin has the most talent of anyone that mocks say is available at 14, but he's a bit of a risk. The thing I like about him is his ability to get to the rim and get anywhere he wants on the floor. He just needs to make a smart play instead of forcing things when he gets there.

Larkin is a late first-round pick and too small to be a starter.

Giannis has a ways to go. No one knows what he'll be for 2 years at least, but maybe he's worth it. I see the risk with him, but I'm not sure if his upside is all that great.

Yeah, Schroeder is the guy everyone's talking about.

You don't like Olynyk or Caldwell-Pope?

Shoot the ball. Same thing as Foye, but he's more than one-dimensional. I like Burks as much as the next guy, but he's a combo-guard. He shoots pretty well, but he's not a sweet shooter like KCP.

?? I'm surprised by this. If we're starting Hayward, then who's our 6th man? Obviously that player needs to be able to handle the ball. Can get to the foul line. Instant offense type player. Burks this past year has proved he can handle the ball and get to the FT line and score in bunches if need be. He fits that bill perfectly. Because of this I'd have him anchor our 2nd unit.

Meanwhile KCP can play that Wesley Matthews role of couple of years ago, starting next to Kirilenko, hitting corner 3's. He won't be asked to do much byway of decision making or making plays. All he has to do is just defend and hit flat footed shots.

Kawhai Leonard was thrown into the starting lineup to do exactly that in his first year, I don't see why KCP couldn't. They're also from the same school BTW.
