Following potential 2013 draftees

LOL.. well obviously someone who can defend and shoot the 3's. Is that too much to ask?

A Kawhi Leonard/Danny Green/Stevenson type.

Just stand and shoot at 3's at one end, and defend like spider's web at the other.

Danny Green and Lance Stephenson were both 2nd rounders, both obviously should have gone in the 1st.

ill never forget when the knicks took Landry Fields and then Andy Rautins the 2 consecutive picks before hometown hero, Lance Stephenson. im still pissed (Jamaal Franklin reminds me of Lance)

Off the top of my head the only players like this are:

Oladipo
Bullock (from UNC)
Snell
Maybe Solomon Hill?

These kind of players are fairly rare.

I like Snell but he has to improve defensively in order to be on this list. He has the physical attributes for it just not the mental ones.

methinks its fools gold looking for a 3pt shooter and defender all in one, if that player existed you think theyd be borderline 1st/2nd rounder, in what many consider a so-so draft. get a kid that has defense and athleticism and a jumper that looks like its got room for improvement, or a shooter with athletic upside.

(im not saying give steve novak 20 mil then pay deshawn stevenson for defense, no)

thats why you get guys who play a bunch of positions. i like a kid such ashttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb4cWzDLJBc

looks like he will adjust to playing 3, but if a team goes small hes big and athletic enough to play the Ryan Anderson role, this player and Peyton Siva i think are 2 impactful players that the jazz can get in the 2nd, southerland is my favorite shooter in this draft, as ive said for many many many many months.

i dont have a bad word to say about that kid. do you endorse trading up to the back of the 1st round to ensure we get him for 4years?? or maybe trade up to the top of the 2nd round to get this player.. or u like at 21?

Edit: i think i prefer Hardaway Jr. he appears to have more of a ceiling to me

I like Bullock over Hardaway. I wasn't necessarily saying break our back to trade around and snag him.. was just saying he's a decent 3pt/defense guy

what if snell put on 20lbs? he appears to have some sharp tools. if you told me snell was gonna put on weight id definitely say we should trade up for a 3rd 1st rounder to secure him, he still should be able to guard a few guys Hayward cant.

Bullock reminds me of Danny Green
Hardaway reminds me of Jamal Crawford

and i dont really even mean to make in school comparisons, thats just kinda what i see though. Timmy SR was one of the greats imo, that was a bad dude on a b-ball court, i like that hes got that sorta support system, and this kid can shoot the rock or i wouldent even mention him

Burke is possible at #2... at #4 to Charlotte, but they have Kemba... at #5 to Phoenix but they just drafted Kendal Marshall...Burke is also possible at #6 to NOLA, but they have Vasquez and at #7 to Sacramento --- from there he falls to Dallas at #13...

No way Burke falls that far, is there?
