What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

Hasn't been discussed in a while, but I'd still be willing to trade both picks this year for a pick between 14-20 next year. Think this strengthens our chances of getting a good pg next year.

Wow.. really? Even when Schroeder has shown the potential to compete with Hill & Andrew Harrison at the Summit?

I know it's just 1 game, but Schroeder looks considerably better than Hill and physically bigger as well. To get Andrew, just play our young guys and tank hard at the end - there's at least Wiggins/Jabari who'll go #1 - #2 anyway.

You speak as though Schroeder is a sure thing, besides doesn't the int. teams usually have an advantage in that game due to knowing each other well, being older and used to playing higher competition. And being more mature mentally and physically?

Yeah even when you take all those things into consideration, I would still rather keep this year's pick, and get a new pick next year by playing our young guys heavy minutes.

Plus if we trade this year's pick for next year's, the team that gave us the pick has an incentive to go out get FA's and start competing (ala GSW this year). Unless that team is really bad like Charlotte, it's not easy to predict how that team will go next year.
