Vonleh's ballhandling better than Gordon's? Have any actual game footage proof?

Also there were a couple high school tapes a couple pages back then where you can see more ballhandling. I like how low his dribble is, how tight to his body(Gordon really dribbles it away from the body -> easy to swipe)
You can also see how he is under control on these moves. His versatility that he can finish with either hand around the basket even lowers the requirement of ballhandling to be efficient as defenders have a harder time gambling and have to listen to the big where to funnel him. And even then with his monster wingspan I have a hard time that Center not named DeAndre Jordan can swat his hooks.

I'm not going to say he's a good or bad shooter, but sample size, my friend. Sample size.

Having said that, it is all we have, so at this point we kind of have to assume he's a pretty good shooter. I just won't be surprised if that isn't a strength of his as a NBA player.

I look at more than sample size. And his release is consistent and mechanically sound. He releases it quicker than Bosh who has absolutely no problem shooting 3s. Wrote a couple pages ago:
If he completely stops dipping it low and starts the motion with the ball in front of his chest in a direct release he'll be very very smooth.

I love that turn around left handed hook shot and banking it perfectly off the back board. using the backboard is a lost talent that vonleh has. (also what Duncan is known for)

I think vonleh and favors will be great.

He has great hands. With Favors and Vonleh I'd want a lightning quick point guard from somewhere and run run run!

After hearing Lindsay talk about how the Jazz need shooters I really think that the pick is Vonleh or they trade down and take McDermott.

That's why I think they're not that into Marcus Smart.

What I like about Vonleh's shooting is the confidence with which he shoots. He doesn't hesitate, and he'll his dribble to set up a jumper. He's also comfortable taking a step back and shooting. All this says that he's confident, that he believes in his shot, and he shoots from distance opportunistically rather than only shoot when he's open. Then his percentages speak for themselves.

DL has traded every pick he has had for the Jazz, so we don't know what he has up his sleeve. But, if we stand pat at 5, I am all in for Vonleh.

I saw him play at least a half-dozen times on ESPN and I was not impressed because his game didn't seemed developed. However, the guy has great measureables, huge hands, has a handle, and a three-point shot.

I would take him any day over Smart, Randal, or Gordon. He is going to take some patience to develop, and I don't expect a ton from him next year. He could be huge a few years from now.
