Following potential 2014 draftees

This sounds terrible for Philly. So basically MCW and Thad for #7? Christ, what could #5 get us?

It makes sense when you consider the Lakers draft debt in future years. Don't have rebuilding window with hardly protected picks in the next years.
You could've picked that up in my Lakers draft preview :p

Speaking of Vision and Glasses, Isaiah Austin has completely disappeared from DX's mock(after being in the high 30's), and dropped to 60 on NBADARFT.net

Anyone know whatsup with that?

I'm surprised. Either he has been forgotten or teams have determined that having only 1 eye prevents him to become a consistent shooter ever.
At that point I'd still be surprised not to hear his name, as I think he could anchor a reserve unit defensively. Smart kid, positioning is improving, timing is good.
If Gobert was worth a late first rounder last year, Austin should be worth an early 2nd rounder this year.

Austin is a great story but don't think he can play NBA ball.
Game will be much too quick for him to handle.
Players will take advantage of his disability like every other weakness of other players.
He should get a tryout but afraid he will not be able to play at the highest level.

Its a good thing the NBA D-League is there for a player like Isaiah, he may get drafted, I think a team like the Nets would jump all over the opportunity to sign him to a guaranteed contract if Undrafted.

If undrafted the Jazz should really take a flier, He was always one of my favorite prospects tbh, though in my book his stock has plummeted this year, I always thought his game was suited for the PF position, and that itd be complimentary to Enes and Derrick. But at this point id rather take Klimenko or Nikola Jokic over him.

Austin is going to need to beat the odds by shooting the ball accurately, If he can pull it off considering his story, its going to be glorious, theres no doubt in my mind he will get looks in the NBA for a few years minimum.

The Injury to Embiid, WCS not declaring, Porzingis leaving the draft, all work in favor of Edy Tavares, whos now the best rim protector in this draft, and will be the biggest player in the NBA next year.

Have i mentioned in a while, Tavares first picked up a basketball in 2010, and at 22 shot 72.2% free throws (one of the selling points on Gobert last year) in the 2nd most competitive league in the world.

Apparently the contract that Tavares signed the other day makes it very easy for him to come to the NBA next year if needed.

I maintain that hes going in the 1st round, probably to a playoff team (im going to laugh really hard about that). I hope for the sake of Alec Burks hes not in the west. 'Edy' is the type of big whos quick and long enough where you really have to fake him out, flying by at top speed or height isnt going to work. He might get dunked on a bunch, but he's capable of contesting everything if thats what you ask of him, I think he shows better feet then Rudy and is more natural of a Pick and Roll player both on offense and hedging it on defense.

this is the $1,000,000 question.

Im thinking that if Exum slides, there could be a team that really covets him and we could get a kings ransom.

The trade the really stands out to me as fairly obvious is, #5 for #7 and the Lakers 1st round pick next year, maybe top 2 protected, maybe top 3 protected, maybe unprotected.

The Jazz will still have one of their top players on the board at 7, no doubt, Vonleh will be gone by then. leaving Aaron Gordon, Marcus Smart or Julius Randle as the pick, and the possibility of 2 lottery picks next year.

Aaron Gordon the PKM of Jazzfanz?

That's fair.

Napier in the green room? Kind of surprising.

Meh.

I really like the colors more than anything else. Jersey design is mediocre outside of that IMO.

Prefer tie-dyed?

Way Too Much Upside To Go Undrafted.

I like this idea.

Lakers owe Phoenix next year's draft pick.

Maybe, I dont think Bol's standing reach was 10'6 though. As long as he could control the ball with the tips of his fingers like I can with my regular sized hands, he'd most likely have been able to dunk without leaving the ground, which I dont think he was capable of. Bol's reach as evidenced by that picture was over 10' though, id say probably 10'3" max though

Like Embiid, Bol also claimed to have killed a lion, his story at-least involved a spear.

Walter can come close to dunking without leaving the ground, the first dunk on his DX scouting report is one of the finer examples ive seen of that type of dunk in-game.

Im not sure exactly of Walters handsize his hands compared to his face seem to be in Giannis type of proportion . I'd guess a legitimate 11" in length, and 12'½" from pinkie to thumb, Chad Ford quoted an Exec who said he had the biggest hands he ever saw.
The diameter of the ball is 9", I've seen pictures where it appears the length of Walters hand is engulfing that by an inch on each side.

If you actually look at him grip the ball, his wrist is several inches away from the ball.

There was a great pic of him about to block a shot that really showed his hand dwarfing the ball, im drunk and cant find that pic, so this will have to do

those pictures look ridiculous. 11 inch in length? could be more. i don't know anything about this kid. is this the french kid you posted while back? don't remember.

probably the biggest hands hold the basketball i've ever seen is this

Lakers have reportedly entered the Minny/GS trade talks, offering the #7 for Klay. Minnesota is apparently hesitant to take Klay because he'll be due a HUGE contract in 2 years.

However, the W's front office is still delusional in thinking they can somehow get Love AND keep Klay. I expect Minnesota will eventually have to find another trading partner.
