Following potential 2015 draftees

Starting to wonder if the Jazz should draft Payne and flip Burke for a late first if someone they like is available. Thoughts. I think he and Exum can play together

I really like this idea. There's something about a Sophomore Mid-Major player being so highly regarded.. how could he have fooled these scouts THAT much. I'm certainly sold.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have informed Karl-Anthony Towns that they will select him with the No. 1 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, a source close to Towns told SNY.tv.

Think Payne could be good though

Or he could be Trey 2.0... short players like him have to be really special to succeed nowadays. He's not a strong guard... He will have trouble finishing in the lane, the question is would he be able to adapt his midrange and long-range game better than Trey did.

He's not Trey short and he's much quicker

measurement-Trey - Payne

Wingspan--- 6'6'' - 6'7.25''
Reach ------ 8'1.5''- 8'1.5''
Sprint ------ 3.16 - 3.28
Lane agility-- 11.20 - 10.89
max vert ----36'' - 35.5

They are pretty close...

If they want another PG, I'd rather see them trade up from 42/54 to the late-ish 20's and grab any of Grant, Wright or Jones.

I just think that the value of bigs/wings in the top 12 is significantly higher than a 2nd PG. I don't think Payne pushes Exum to the 2, and it's way too early to draft Burke's future replacement.
