Following potential 2015 draftees

Really don't feel like listening to Locke right now. What is his overall view of Johnson

Likes his defense, for some reason thinks he's a good shooter... I'm still not convinced. Likes his rebounding.

Average passing. Not great handle, not very explosive in the lane.

Not explosive? I thought that was the one thing he might be good at. Being short and not explosive will hurt him in the NBA

Seriously, when the Jazz talk about liking Lyles and Dekker, I think the presumption is that several guys they like more are no longer available. I have to think Oubre, Turner and maybe Looney are higher rated.

To don't have strongly negative opinions about most players in the Jazz's range, but Trey Lyles is ****ing garbage. A talented sleepwalking dope who has no particular strength and will fold. I'm hoping that Locke's weird homer boner is some kind of smokescreen or he might be the worst talent evaluator with a voice that I can think of.

He did say the Jazz was high on Rudy and truly believed we would have grabbed him had we not traded up to grab Burke at the last minute.

Trey Lyles somehow reminds me of Taj Gibson in some way. Can't really describe it. It's not their current skillset. But rather I foresee a development in Lyles body and skillset.

I think Lyles is okay. He's got good IQ, he's a ball mover. He'll score inside, rebound, run out, hit mid-range jumpers. He's not a great defender--Sam Dekker toasted him on a couple critical plays in the NCAA tourney. He runs a bit heavy, like Boozer and Juwan Howard, not the best mobility. That's one of the reasons like Portis better.

Truthfully, I like Looney and Portis more, but I wouldn't die if we took Lyles.

I just think that unless he starts knocking down jumpshots Lyles will bust in a spectacular fashion. He also has that thing ... similar to Alec... where he takes a dribble before he shoots it from the perimeter... I cringe every time.

My main concern with Looney is his slight build, physicality and explosiveness. Lyles certainly isn't elite by any means but he has that over Looney. If you think Lyles can be a good shooter going forward I think he is a better bet than Looney.
