What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Gobert was skinny as hell when he came into the league... and he was 30 pounds heavier than Jeanne is now. THat's the thing that bothers me the most.

Right. The big question when Nerlens Noel was drafted was whether he would ever gain enough weight to play the 5, because he didn't have enough ball skills to play the 4. Jonathan Jeanne is pretty much in the same category, but isn't as good as Noel was.

Jeanne's game has to open up, he has to gain weight/strength, or both.

I still really like Kuruc at 24 if he's there. I think he'll be a solid rotation player at least. He has a lot of potential for today's game, and I don't see much downside.

What's his defense like? I really couldn't find real video of him. Only 2 minutes highlights. He might legitimately have less tape around than Exum did when we drafted him.

There's tape on him. Teams know him. He has the length, quickness and motor to be a good defender. He's not a lock-down defender, but should be decent.

Not to mention, he apparently gained 20 lbs just the past year. He'll put on weight.

Where did you read that? Prior to the combine Jeanne had been listed as 210 for the entire year.

That write up by NBAdraft.net says "Jeanne barely weighs 200 lbs"

That was written February of last year. He still barely weighs 200 lbs.

This post on a celtis forum references DX's page on him and at the time (January of last year) he weighed 195.
