Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Uh Nkilitina is way more valuable in a trade up scenario than #21.

There is zero reason that we’d be involved in any way with them trading up for Trae.

And we are certain of this why?

The Knicks drafted Nkilitina then added Burke and traded for Mudiay while still have Jarrett Jack who they played more than Nkilitina for much of the season. They still have the rights to Burke and will probably keep him next year because he's so cheap. They also have Courtney Lee who is a small guard along with Tim Hardaway Jr. who plays some SG.

If they trade up for Trae Young, it's to be their PG. I personally think the Knicks would trade Nkilitina especially if he could be used to get their prized goal of Trae Young. Could they get more for FN than #21? I'm not sure. Would this be in our best interest? I think so. I like Nkilitina and his relationship and fit long term with Donovan more than anybody I'm seeing at #21.

There are a ton of IF's here, but I haven't seen anything that says Nkilitina is off limits.

Dude, FN is soooo much more valuable than #21. He’s a proven solid player in the NBA. You don’t get that at 21. It’s not even close.

He was drafted #8 last year and is considered a pretty good pick. Could we get pick #10 for 21 this year?

Like I said, I don't know and you are speculating too. Many say this draft is stronger last year's. It's very obvious that the Knicks do not think Frank is their PG of the future. I like the kid, but he played 22mpg, scored 5.9ppg on 36% shooting.

So overall, Nkilitina was drafted too high in a weaker draft and didn't play all that well last year. If you re-drafted 2017, he wouldn't be a lottery pick. He might not be top 20. The Knicks are going to do whatever it takes to get Trae Young. They don't really have many assets to get the other pick necessary to move up a few spots.

I could definitely see the Knicks trading us Nkilitina so they could trade #9 and #21 to Chicago for #7. Chicago likes a few players at #7 who will be there at #9 (Wendell Carter, Bridges, Bridges, etc.).

LoPo gonna LoPo

Explain. What's out of bounds with my logic? Please show me anything that says Nkilitina is untouchable. Please show me anything that establishes his value.

LoPo speculates because that's what LoPo does. It's food for thought. That's it. This isn't a mock draft, but a possible scenario for what we do with our pick.

Who needs ESPN Trade Machine when we have LOPO

Watch ESPN fire some dudes and bring him in

Damn, first time watching Jerome Robinson today as I see he's in our range ... that boy can ball!

Anyone else see a bit of a 'Lillard' or 'McCollum' vibe from him? Older guy from a small school with chip on his shoulder, something to prove, really good scorer who can knock down 3's and is explosive enough to finish at the rim? Seems like a really smart player too.

I really like this guy for us next to Mitchell.

Value pick version of Jamal Murray.

Okay so they want to trade with the Bulls:

What seems reasonable?

“We’ll trade you number 9 and the promising Frankie Nicotine for #7”

Or

“We’ll trade the promising Frankie Nicotine for the 21st pick, and then we’ll trade you #21 and #9 for #7”

IDK if I would say proven, but they arent just going to give up on the 8th overall pick for the 21st pick.

The Bulls might not want Nkilitina because they have Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and Cameron Payne.

Yeah... I wouldn't say he's proven either, but he's proven he can play NBA level defense. Lets see what he can do on offense in the next year or two.
