Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I wouldnt be surprised if we picked him. Would be Favors insurance, and seems to have a lot to his game.
Watched his combine interview, and he has a good head on his shoulders. Solid guy, who would fit in with our culture.

I wonder if we could trade back and pick him up?

If we were convinced he'd be there, we could. Assuming the Lakers were convinced they wouldn't get Leonard this off-season and wanted to sign him in 2019, we could center a package around Deng, 25 and Kuz for Burks, Bradley, Johnson's TPE (3.7 I think?) and 21. Lakers free up a tuckfon of space and move up in the draft, while we get Kuz and keep in the first found. This kills our 2019 space, but maybe worth it if we're looking deeper than 2019 and are 100% ready to build around Mitch.

I have the trade that works for 3 teams:

Washington gets Jerekbo, Udoh and #21
Memphis gets Gortat, Burks, #15 and our 2019 1st
We get #4 and Parsons

Why for Wiz: they save $5.5 million which is what they want.

Why for Griz: dropping 11 spots to dump Parsons, gain two better players, pick up a 1st in 2019, and gain $25 million in 2019 space is worth it.

Why for us: we go get Doncic if he is still there. He becomes a pillar of our future championship foundation.

Well on the Lowe post, Givony had just said that he'll be attending the Under 16 comp. next month...etc...

So to anyone who thinks PG_AB is the 'weird one' scouting 15 year olds... well... he may just be the genius one amongst us.

The Nike Peach Jam? One of the best events of the summer, easily. It's a huge deal to these kids.Last few years have been great; the young Wendell Carter led Georgia Stars completely obliterated the field, he was unstoppable and posted like 28 and 15 every game, they destroyed Jayson Tatums team in the finals, it was a massacre. Mokan Elite featured 2 possible top-5 picks in Michael Porter Jr and Trae Young, and they obliterated the field as well and laid waste to Mo Bamba's PSA Cardinals in the chip...

Or do you mean the Team USA U17 squad? Either one, you're sure to see many future stars. These age groups right now U17 and U16 specifically are unusually strong at this stage for sure, if you had any familiarity with the top ranked players you'd see why, these kids pass the eye test with flying colors.. To even make the cut for this squad is such an accomplishment.

How does the ability to defend 4 positions effect PER?

He is also 22 and is getting better quickly. His role was very small last year and that is the reason for the lower PER which is simply adding up box score stats, not really all that important or a good indicator of what he can be. Him and Mike Scott were the only players to have a positive net rating for the Wizards in the playoffs this year.

He has a lot of upside and would be a great fit here.

BTW how bout Terry Rozier this season!! If anyone wants to dig up comments bout him from the old threads u will see quite a few PG_AB gems, including me constantly roasting DX for having him too low. Rozier also roasted them on Twitter and Givony got defensive about it LOL, its even funnier now that everyone knows he's good.

(Was just reading the Celtic's knew they were gonna take him a month before the draft, or Ainge did, and they knew Jaylen Brown was their guy early too.)

Did the Jazz bring in Ray Spaulding (D. Mitchell's UL teammate) for a workout!?

I could see them trading up higher in the 2nd rd to grab him tbh. Would have some very nice upside in the event Favors walks.

just for the record, this kid might be the most perfect PF match with Rudy outside of the NBA.. He just measured 6'11½" in shoes with a 7'4" wingspan. Possible #1 pick... There will be KD comps thrown around. Perfect new age stretch 4 cuz he can block shots too.

Jerome Robinson has skyrocketed up mock drafts. Seems there's a very small chance he's even available by the time the Jazz pick. He's pushed Troy Brown down. He's #17 on Givony's mock draft on ESPN insider and #16 on NBAdraft.net.
