Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Ya I have been hearing that AJ typically leads the team in scoring on very low volume and that he is one of the few people willing to pass the ball. I think this a good thing. (and as you mentioned, gets to the line like crazy cause no one can defend him without fouling)
Just read that AJ was named the MVP

With the emergence of brown it is a 4 way battle for the top prospects.
Nah, Brown is not competing with any of those dudes unless they really disappoint. Teams dont want small guards.

Maybe he has grown recently, but he was 6'2 w/o shoes in 2024. I dont see teams really believing he's in that conversation with Boozer/Peterson/AJ

If Bailey hits, it’s gonna be really hard to pass on Daryn Peterson.
That doesnt make any sense....

What does Bailey hitting or not hitting have anything to do with who we take in 2026? I dont think Peterson/AJ are that diametrically opposed to the point where roster construction would influence your pick. They are both do it all star guards.

Ace does not pass or dribble at all.

I think Peterson has more creation skills than AJ, which would pair well with Bailey, imo. I’m not sure AJ creates as much/as well, and my fear would be that if Bailey stagnates, you have two wings who don’t create as much as you’d like.

I’m very likely overthinking it, and will fully admit I don’t know the prospects that well. Just my initial thoughts.

Jazz will take the best talent they can get wherever they're drafting. Yes, on-ball creation would be nice, but if you can get Boozer or Dybantsa, take it and run. The Jazz can pick up an on-ball guard or wing somewhere down the road.

As it stands now, the Jazz still have three picks in the '27 draft, including their own, the Lakers pick and either the Twolves or Cavs.

I can see that from the perspective of wanting a downhill attacking threat, if that's what Peterson is and it's what AJ is not.

So let's see here....

If we end up with the worst record which is likely we will - at this point - likely choose from one of these guys:

-Dybansta - Highly-touted and will likely go #1
-Peterson - Combo guard who seems to have a nice game all around. I think he has a solid floor and a high ceiling so I like him
-Cam Boozer - Should have a solid floor and should go top-5
-Stokes - Meeeeeh
-Wilson or Fland - Boogie was smart to play another season. I bet his shooting will be much better and he'll go top-10. Wilson ain't got nothing on Bailey!

I really hope some of the top-10 guys blow up because at this point I'm only seeing three guys who are thought of as potential stars. If we get ****ed and pick again at 5 I don't want someone who lacks star potential.

I don't remember where Harper was in mocks prior to the season so anything can happen but if we pick top-3 in 2026 I think we'll be in a great position.
