Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Looks much better in this film than what I've seen so far. Very nice to see.
His dribbling is high/awkward, but he's good at moving his body and using his strength. If he can tighten up the handle and get a bit lower I would be a bit more excited about him. The shot looks great though and that was his biggest question when he started his pro career.

My biggest concern is lack of explosion combined with being really soft, but in that highlight he didn't look soft at all, so it's much less of a concern. I do think his shooting is real. It looks good to me at least.

He's not super explosive with the ball, but he gets up pretty good on rebounds/putbacks.

I usually don’t put a lot of weight on individual highlights, but this is bonkers:
-drives and finishes with his off-hand
-injures the defense being met at the rim by two defenders
-lifts off one leg in traffic outside the restricted area

This is just monster stuff. Key could not do this at the same stage in development. He also looks bigger/longer to me.

Will be interesting to see official measurements. Just did a bit of a dive, sorry if this is redundant.

-He is an old freshman (19 now, 20 in April - BTW, how does this happen???), so the book is probably shut on him growing, but
-he was measured at 6’ 2” w/o shoes just after he turned 18… so there’s a small chance he’s grown a little more
-wingspan of 6’ 7” at the same measuring (very nice)

But we probably won’t have a draft pick, so

To the age thing. We had a few guys in HS sit a year out in like middle school/late junior high because they were supposed to be good athletes but hadn't hit a growth spurt. My guess is that is the type of thing that happens. It worked pretty well in most cases... maybe because the parents were maniacs in the cases I saw.

Murdering a man while dunking off hand can't be ignored.

No possible way he's 6'2 without shoes. He looks at least 6'3.5 without shoes.
