Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Drafting DP is going to be a hard choice. It would hate to have to deal with his "camp". Seems like a head case.

However, some of the same things were being said about A e last year and then we found out about his "manager".

Any way still scary to put your eggs in that basket.

Head case is a bit strong. We all know college is just a stepping stone to the NBA. So he is prioritizing his health for the NBA over winning in college I'm not worried

I've always thought Jefferson was a good passer, going back to last year, but when you put it all together like in these highlights it really pops, he's a GREAT passer.

I fail to see an NBA role for Jefferson. He's an unathletic tweener (the worst kind) who's strong enough to beat up on college kids but won't get any separation in the pros. He can't guard NBA 3's or 4's.

For some unfathomable reason, college teams guard him like he's Steph Curry, even though he's a bad (and very low volume) 3pt shooter even at that level. Every pro team would sag off him from day 1 and make him prove he can hit some shots.

I feel like this is the exact NCAA player type fans always fall irrationally in love with. Right now, he looks like a man among boys... in the League, he'll look like a slow man among quick men.

He's Kyle Anderson with a 3pt shot. I don't think translating is a guarantee, but I don't think it's an impossibility either

Going to be fascinating to see if anyone draft Dior Johnson with all his previous baggage. Absolutely the best scorer in college basketball and it's not particularly close.

I think it's probably fair to say that these elite guards in the top-10 range aren't going to be excited about coming to Utah to play next to a young, high-usage lead guard who's about to sign a huge contract extension. They're going to want an open runway to get a ton of on-ball reps and achieve that themselves in their first couple years. In Utah, there's even some competition for backup minutes right now. Whereas a young guard can go to a team like Sacramento and have his own team with more time and opportunity to take some lumps and develop.

If the Jazz really think one of these guards is far-and-away BPA, then maybe they'd draft one of them, but I think it's far more likely that they pick a wing or a big who complements their three main guys.

Kayden Mingo goes against Michigan tonight. Probably going to get blown out by 50, but he's a (tiny) defensive guard to keep an eye on.

Cade Tyson kind of left my radar after he busted at North Carolina, but he's getting buckets in Minnesota. One of the largest FTR jumps I've ever seen.
