It's okay, not my favorite. The realism in terms of brutal killing is top notch. I won't point out the unrealistic parts. You'll figure it out. If it is being talked about as the best film of the year then standards truly have fallen.

The acting is great (except brad pitt, who is very flat and preachy) and it has some really wonderful cinematography. that said it comes off as being brutal and edgy just for the sake of it. i enjoyed it though. probably wouldn't see it more than once.

and the best film i've seen this year is gone girl by a large margin. it either hasn't been a great year or i'm forgetting something from earlier.

Meh. God story but the trailer looked pretty bad.

Nightcrawler, American Sniper, Foxcatcher and Inherent Vice are the four that grab my attention. Whiplash is also supposed to be excellent. I want to see Interstellar too but to a lesser degree.
