G League Chit 2025

Here is an interesting bit of trivia about the GLeague: Former Jazz man Jason Preston is leading the San Diego Clippers in rebounding despite being a smallish point guard.

Tay Henny was meh tonight. The Lakers had a guy that had some good minutes Luke Goode a 6'7" 2/3 from Indiana. He was going to return to school but had a medical red shirt year voided by the NCAA in July so he caught on with the Lakers GLeague team. I guess he is draftable at the next draft. I doubt many teams will view a 24 year old as a prospect. The Stars are on a heater.

I almost have less hope for Hendricks than I do Williams.

I think Williams just has all time bad confidence and overthinking while I just think Hendricks has nearly no ball skills and questionable athleticism after the injury.

Every once in awhile Cody has a burst or explosion that make you wonder what you are watching, like why can't he always do that.

The main thing that Hendricks has over Cody is his shot, which I do think he can shoot, while Cody's shot is still in the process of getting reworked.

The way I see it is Cody needs to be a very good open 3pt shooter to be an NBA player. Hendricks needs to be able to stay in front of people on defense to be an NBA player. It feels like Hendricks will eventually get his mobility back, but I have not idea if it ever gets back to pre-injury levels. On other other hand Cody is so far away from being a very good open 3pt shooter that it feels unlikely to happen, even if shooting is more possible to teach.

The way I look at shooting is can you get your feet right and be on balance. The actual shooting stroke is easier to teach. For comparison Ace’s footwork is incredible.

Wow I thought everyone decided he was a dud
Everyone hated on him because he was injured when we drafted him so noone got the instant gratification of seeing him play and therefore wrote him off. I'm not saying he's going to blow up the NBA but he clearly scored with ease that game.

He had a good moment in Summer League and hit some big shots in a game vs the Spurs. Maybe he's figuring it out.
