The depleted Stars with a solid road win vs the Kings JVs. Harkless with 34 points, Mo Bamba with 25 points 16 boards 2 blocks, and Tonje with 16 points. Three guys with solid games were Max Abmas, Matthew Murell and Sean East II. Oscar was with the varsity tonight.

The Stars are tied at the moment with the Spurs GLeague team for the second best record in the GLeague just behind the Raptors GLeague team who is unbeaten. The Spurs have Micah Potter on their roster and the Raptors have a couple of guys, A J Lawson and David Roddy that have 290 NBA Games under their belt between them. Roddy was drafted with the pick after Kessler. If our young draft picks flame out there are guys playing in the GLeague that are of decent quality.

Oscar and Mo are 1 and 2 in rebounds per game in the GLeague. The Stars leading scorer is Harkless and his 18.7 ppg puts him in 87th place in the league.

According to my unexpert eye test they are. When these guys get added there probably is an unfamilarity factor that gunks things up but GLeague lifers look better than these two at the moment.

Kobe Bufkin is back in the GLeague after his 10 day contract with Memphis expired. He had 42 points last night.

There are two Stars games before the next Jazz game. Assuming they're not going to miss an NBA practice this makes a lot of sense.

Harkless was the Stars leading scorer with 27, Oscar had 18 boards and was the only Stars player with a + in the box score. Tonje played decently and had 17 points. The legendary Blake Hinson torched the Stars.

Cody scored a couple buckets in the 1st qtr and never did anything else really the rest of the game. Did he get hurt or something?

No. He just played very tentative. The Stars led after the first quarter and then things went south. Walt and Harkless were turnover machines. I think the Stars had 19 TOs for the game with Walt and Harkless accounting for most of them. Mo Bamba did not play for the Stars and he had been dominating things the past few games.

Cody played the same amount of minutes that GLeague lifers Sean East II and Cam McGriff and the career GLeaguers out statted him. Houston, I think the Ainges have a problem.

I see the Jazz recalled Walt this morning but left Cody and Tay Henny with the Stars.

He started last night's Stars game fine and then basically didn't do anything the rest of the time he was out there. He should be the alpha dog out there everytime he steps on the floor with this level of competition.

I think its a little wild that we simultaneously wanted to preserve cap space next season and picked up Cody's option for next year.
