What's new

Game #26. Jazz in Miami, the land of 36 skyscrapers in a few minutes Mtn time.

Even though they aren't winning any games, I've found the offense this year to be vastly more fun to watch than it was last year if that means anything.

This 100x

This team sucks. But they're usually pretty darn entertaining. The offense is so much better than Corbin's stand around offense. Watching Rudy Gobert alone is the most entertaining show this town has seen since the 02 Olympics. On nights like tonight where Kanter, Burks, and hayward dominate, it really gives me encouragement that this team might go somewhere in the future.

I didn't know he would come around.
I am not sure he has come around.
I saw him play, in person, and he convinced me he has it in him.

I am still far from convinced he has turned the corner.

Do you think he has more potential than this, or are you not conviced with his performanse as of late ?

The game last night was so much fun to watch. Love seeing these young guys continue to develop. The last couple of games have shown the players are fully buying into Snyder's system.

2 years ago I can remember sitting and watching a game and having an irresistible urge to reach out and wrap my fingers around somebody's neck and squeeze the life out of them. Not sure who to blame, but just so fed up, disgusted and disappointed in the product the Jazz were putting on the floor.

Looking more and more like Kanter rather than Burks should have been the one the Jazz held onto. He's going to get offered as much as Hayward next summer, if not more. Jazz will be in a bit of a conundrum, Kanter's offense is so much better than Favor's, and with his defense showing marked improvement there's going to be a lot of teams very interested. Can't keep everybody. In early November, I was on the trade Kanter bandwagon. His D was dreadful. But he is looking so much better the last couple games, like things are finally starting to click.

And love seeing Exum more aggressive, making a few mistakes. Would be nice to see him make a little push and get picked for the rookies during all star weekend. Don't think he'll be in roy conversations, though.

Dante Exums defense was really encouraging as well. I don't think quins going to have a choice but to start him in the next few weeks. Things seem to be slowing down for him.

I'll come out and say that at the beginning of the season I was one for getting rid of the Menace. I eat my words after what I've seen the last games.

Yup, and best of all he is showing energy and effort on D. I think if he keeps that up and the 3 ball starts to fall (it will, he is young) then he will be dang good. And if he learns to pass?

Saying this six months ago would have been against my nature, but here it is: I hope Exum doesn't start. Let him have MULTIPLE double-figure games... hell, even a string of pseudo-dominance... before you even consider it. I've fallen in love with the "bring him along slowly" approach. (And I'd like to get good value for Burke, if possible).

Trey was absolutely useless in the 4th quarter last night. Just does not have the physical ability to be much of a player in this league. I am fine with him while Exum develops, but after that unless he becomes a much better shooter, not sure there is much of a place for him in this league, even as a backup.

I agree to an extent but seriously, Burke is exposed. We would have to give up something else to get value back. I think that we will need to hope Burke embraces a back up role.

If Burke is that worthless then place him in a back up role (I do not think we are there yet) and if he becomes a problem then ship him out for the best deal you can get and move forward.

For example, I can't imagine that a Burke-for-Stauskas deal is THAT FAR off. Maybe we have to throw a second-round pick into the equation. Fine.

I'd be looking for players who have promise but are struggling to find a niche. Add one or two second-round picks. Get something done.

If it isn't a player like Stauskas, then maybe it's a defensive specialist who can't find his offense. Something.

trey is AT LEAST a very good backup pg in the league. no way we can hand over the reigns to dante at this point, unless we are well and truly in tank mode (pre-xmas seems premature).

trey can be frustrating, but there's signs his shot is getting there and the 2-man game is progressing? defence (effort) still my biggest worry with him.

To me that is the exact reason they got the abundance of 2nd rounders they have. To sweeten the deals just enough to get them to happen. I'm not saying do the trade as I dont even know what position Stauskas plays. But we have all these assets and I would like the FO to use some of them.

By playing trey we are tanking. We are better when Dante plays.

Also, I think a Trey-for-Jennings deal has got to be fairly close. Say what you will about Brandon Jennings... but if he were to accept a sixth-man role, he'd be fantastic. I'd do this deal 10-out-of-10 times.
