Yes he did, however that was by scoring and not setting up his team mates. As mentioned in other posts playing Hayward at the 2 will help with that.

Yes; he was a huge factor--probably second to Favors (and maybe Millsap). But he still hasn't shown a great ability to make people around him significantly better consistently, and the Jazz team especially would benefit from someone who can lead a team better. His big (but mostly shooting) performance tonight wouldn't work as well against a team that has a better-coordinated defense. Such as San Antonio.
Also bear in mind that the full benefit of the contribution came after Harris was benched for not performing.

The jazz being inconsistent shooting and still had problems making shots in the paint, and Harris netting only 26 minutes hurt his chances of getting more assists, plus Hayward doing a lot of that him self giving Harris an opportunity to do what he does best.

That is what I have been advocating since before the draft. Kanter does not have the hopes to play center. Favors at center, Kanter at power forward, a fill in till next draft at small forward and Hayward at shooting guard. I also still think Burks would be great at point guard, with some experience playing there.

Just got back from the game. You guys have covered it. Here are just a few random thoughts:
- Favors is a pretty good defensive presence as a center. He's strong enough, has good standing reach and is quicker and more coordinated than most centers in the league.
- Was nice to see Kanter get above the rim with some timing. He's already a mature rebounder.
- Both Favors and Kanter are very physical players. They are very hard for opposing players to move. Favors had to run through a line of defense to get to the rim. Lots of contact.
- Favors had a play in the post where he sealed off the baseline to take a feed from Hayward, much like one of Karl Malone's plays...except that he extended and dunked it with 2 hands from the side of the lane.
- Millsap looked an inch or so shorter than both Brand and Thadius Young. If he's 6'8", he barely makes it. He looked pretty well matched up with Iguodala, but Brand could lean back and shoot over him with clear vision pretty easily. Millsap still looked a bit injured and a bit rusty.
- I don't really want Igoudala on the Jazz. He can't shoot.
- Best game from Harris as a Jazz player I've seen. He was confident with his offense, but still not really a set-up guy. Watson and Hayward are more natural passers.
- Josh Howard is a good all-around player and a good teammate. He plays under control and took a lot of minutes.
- I don't know if Jeremy Evans can't do anything away from the rim, or if the coaches won't let him.
- Philadelphia has a couple of really good guards in Holiday and Lou Williams. Philly played those two together quite a bit. I'm surprised Williams missed that layup at the end when he got by Watson.

ball movement, and good d is what i wanted to see and that's what we got. Way to go Jazz. Kanter is going to be good. I don't know who to compare him too yet but he was fun to watch. Favors is a beast.

Going back to last year, if you really cannot see how much better Millsap is than Jefferson, then it's your own fault.
What game were you watching? I can't remember a game where we received so many favorable calls. CJ was stuffed on that 3 and instead was rewarded 3 FTs. Even Harpring said that Collins had a "case."
On the last second layup missed by Williams, check out what Hayward does to Haws who missed the tip in and goes flying back. LOL.

It's no coincidence that this team plays better without Jefferson. He's too slow, too much of a liability on defense, and has just no concept of TEAM offense.
Yes yes yes yes yes, he has a lot of talent. A lot more than Millsap. But Millsap actually knows how to contribute to this team without being the focus on offense. In fact, believe it or not, a big man doesn't have to shoot the ball every time he touches it. He can do other things too, like post up, help on defense, box out, set a screen, pass, rebound, or play defense. Crazy... I know... Al is still tryin to figure this out.
Trade Black Hole for a good wing or draft pick.
Start Favors. Have him be the focus. Start Millsap, and he'll find ways to score. Whether it be in the pick and roll, O board, jump shots, etc. Play Evans and Kanter off the bench.
