That's going to take some work. Isn't he about 28% on off-the-drib 3's this season?Honestly if DM hits the off the dribble three at about 38% or higher it fixes a lot of our stuff.

Anyone who wants to move on from Rudy right now is a damn fool.Gobert (25) - some might secretly want to move on after Houston

Good points. That's still a big jump, though. 10%? Have we seen other guys do that? I know DM is a quick study, has a good shot already. But has a 10% jump happened?Yes, but he has good mechanics and is a quick study. Before this year he never finished off of one foot... we've seen him fix that and many guys never figure that out... DM was like let me work on this during the weekend.
He gets clean looks because guys back off... I think he could get quite good at it.

Couple thoughts:
1. Exum is not getting $10 mil per. Not from us, not from any team, especially in this cash strapped year.
2. Agree with Neto coming back - he's cheap and that's really all that matters.
3. I'd move Burks as an expiring for a stretch four on a good contract, but we would probably need to take on some bad salary as part of a deal. None of the other expendable pieces really matter to me if they come back; I'd rather deal them for some more youth if anything.
4. I think DL will position this franchise to be a true elite contender maybe 2-3 years down the road. I know that sounds weird, but our core will be in their prime at that point while the GSW/HOU of the world will look kind of like the Cavs right now consisting of 30 year-olds with declining games.
Unless he Durant's it. Or Duncan's it. Or whoever else has taken less than what they could get in order to go to/remain with a contending team.GSW won't be able to afford Klay after next year.

We need to keep about 35M open for 2019... we may have to let Ricky walk to get there.
I think we're locked on to Ricky. I think that's a good thing, too. Hard to find a PG of his quality, with some upside yet, who really loves being here.
If this is true we should extend him this offseason. Doubt he gets more than his cap hold (22M in 2019). If he is in and wants to be here hopefully he'll take a slight discount for the security.
One guy I'd be all for getting if he declines his player option is Rudy Gay. Let's say we offer him full MLE for two years... final year a team option or maybe small guarantee... that seems like enough. Start him at PF... he can score in iso and functioned in the SA system. Will be his second year coming off achilles injury so he should improve.
