Game 5: Termination Game -- Jazz @ Thunder 4/25/2018 7:30 pm MST

I missed the 4th quarter of game 2 due to having a softball game (was able to listen to Locke though), tonight I have a softball game at 830.. What're the odds I see any of the fourth tonight?

Old wives tale. Winning 4 in a row is common when one team is better than the other.
It's not a wives tale. Playoff games arent completely separate events. Adjustments happen, mainly from the losing team, that makes winning 4 games in a row difficult. Even the Warriors, an elite team, dropped a game to the Spurs without Kawhi because of how difficult it is to win 4 in a row.

I have no idea where to look it up quickly, but I would assume a 5th seed has only swept a 4 seed one or two times in the history of the playoffs. I would assume it would be even harder to look up any time other than a sweep that a 5th seed has won 4 in a row over a 4th seed.

If you have won the previous three, does it increase, decrease, or make no difference the chance of winning the 4th in a row?
I think it would decrease.

The other team should be desperate and their coach should be able to unleash everything.

I guess there are cases where a team might be giving up, so the 4th win in a row is easier. I could see that argument against certain teams. That could be the case tonight.

I’ll be happy as long as there is no evidence of the Thunder having some revelation on how to beat us. If one of their dues catches fire and we lose a close one oh well. As long as the game looks more or less like the first four did.

I don't know but in OKCs case with the big three, a win may be more difficult. They play iso ball and it just takes one of them to step up big with their back to the wall like George took over game one. Get the message to Melo that his legacy and entry into the HOF hinges on this game and series, and he could light it up.
