Hayward is 0-2 against us. His fortunes may be changing soon. Boston tips off at 8:30 tonight against Portland and faces us tomorrow on the second end of a back-to-back. This is also nationally televised. Two major strikes against us. Tomorrow, we will see if the Jazz allow Hayward to play the role of Delonte West and us the timid Hayward. We’re about poised for that.

My effort and enthusiasm in starting a game thread against a nemesis mirrors the Jazz’s effort and enthusiasm they’ve put forth. Thank goodness I’m on vacation and may not actually watch it.

We’re 4-8 since the rockets laid out the blueprint to beat us. Time to figure it out or it’s going to be a long hard end to the season.

Hayward is coming back to the 801 for a tasty treat:

I turned it off against the Suns, were the Boo-Birds out? They will be if Jazz play casually against Boston.

This game could be the rock bottom or the turning point... DM plunking Gordo could provide the spark we need to wake up... this game is a tipping point.

What if getting smoked by Exum is rock bottom? Or, at least, the reassurance DL needs to ‘never give up too soon’ and then clutches Bradley like the last can of food in a zombie apocalypse?

I did say this could be rock bottom... like that would definitely be rock bottom... also I hate you for bringing that evil into my mind.

I don't know if that is fair, but I get it. Whether it is human nature or a symptom of our culture we like to blame a single person for complex problems.
And since he's a player, Mike is on the front line for criticisms of the entire process. Plus, he deserves it.

Uhh, no one can do what the Rockets fo besides the Rockets, so what are you saying?

The Jazz just suck right now. Hopefully a national TV game vs a big team with a former player can help motivate them.

I'm not optimistic though. Plus it's a late game so I'm probably only going to stay up for the first quarter.

At this point I'm just hoping it's a competitive game.

Yup this game represents that talked about rock bottom point. We'll either stay mired in this ****ing mess which tbh seems the most likely and get waxed by 25 by Boston who are on a b2b. OR the unlikely scenario that we'll actually start to play some committed intense defense for 48 mins and bitch slap Hayward back to Boston. Can't go lower than this particular point for the season

I hate the Celtics and would love a win. But I’m going to keep my expectations low. I hope we at least show some passion and try to take the ball to the rack. For the past month our effort has sucked and our game plan of launching 3s and playing zero defense have made us unwatchable.

I'm expecting the Jazz to come out and show even less effort than the Suns game.

The talent needed to contend is on the roster.

But it really looks like the locker room drama is real and we're f*******.
