Though Lawson is obviously the better player right now I wouldn't trade Burks for him.

I would rather have the cheaper player, who wants to be here.

Add in the fact that we are not winning now with or without Lawson..... lawson would be in the way of exum.... by the time we are ready to contend, Lawson would probably be about to leave utah.

And then there is the chance that Burks is a much better player in three years than he is right now..... I don't think Lawson is going to get much better than he is.

So Burks is cheaper, wants to be here, doesn't play point guard (the same position as the guy we drafted to be our franchise player), and there is a chance he will be the better player anyway.

Still a tough choice though because Lawson is really good now and Burks is just ok

Yep. Dont trade Burks for LeDouche either because Bron Bron would just get in way of Exum and would hypothetical hypothetical bolt in three years hypothetical anyway besides Rudy Gobert is going to be next Olajuan and Burks better than Kyrie. We got this guys lets stick with Trey and watch team suck for three more years. No need to get out in front of the obvious.

Lawson is not a top 6 or 7 point guard. That's laughable
