Kahn, unlike what I've thought about him in the past, actually seems to have a decent plan for going forward. He's right: better to deal Al now, when a couple of teams still had some flexibility than hope a better deal comes at the deadline, when he'd most likely have to take back contracts. And Jefferson's best years will be wasted as Miiny rebuilds over the next 3-4 years.
I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl over the acquisition. I probably would have done exactly what Kevin did back in the draft. Jefferson was a highschooler who couldn't even work out for the Jazz due to an injury. Utah took two very good prospects at real positions of need. But no we have Big Al, he's excited, the fans are excited and Deron is thrilled because he has a Big 'Un to play with. Bring 'em on out, how about them Jazz?!!!
