GSW Draft Pick Watch

Nate Robinson must have had a tank meeting with mgmt.

He singlehandedly lost it for them. He made boneheaded play after boneheaded play. Maybe they told him his job is secure and to help em out lol.

Everyone else appeared tone trying.

You did not watch the game at all did you? Nate single handedly brought them back. I have no idea what you are talking about.

i watched the game, and yes, nate helped bring them back... he also absolutely ruined it for them. his combination of turnovers and horrible shots in the last 4 minutes... *sigh*

what a tease. tied twice in triple digits.

I only saw the last few minutes so yeah I missed what he did earlier. He looked awful in what I saw.

Funny I was thinking the same thing.

Nate balled for them at the end. Ya he had a turnover. But Cmon he can't do everything

I don't think that Nate was tanking either. Nate has every reason to play his *** off. He's fighting for his career everyday.

Key Games today:

Detroit(21-36) @ Charlotte.... <Sigh> Looks like a Detroit win to me.
Dallas @ GS(22-35)..... Will be interesting to see on this one.

Friday:

NJ(21-38) @ Philly... Hopefully Philly takes care of them easily.
Boston @ Toronto(20-39).. Same as above except Boston beating up on Toronto.
Cleveland(19-37) @ Indiana... Hope to see Indiana demolish them.
Milwaukee @ Detroit
Sacramento(19-40) @ OKC

It's going to be close. Hopefully GS pulls off an upset today against Dallas.

No....Nate...Nate brought them back. He did not help, He was the only reason. That team played like piss It sucked he fluttered down the stretch, but this was not a game without Nate.

i can't believe i'm really biting on this, cuz i don't care much. but nate was not the "only reason." david lee was playing like crap, but the GS wings were playing active on defense and pushing the ball ahead. rush had several big transition buckets, thompson hit two big threes, and even jefferson was scoring late. robinson had the tying bucket at 91, and tied the game again at 93 and 95, while he was scoring six straight GSW points, so i'll give him credit for that.

then, you get to the last 2:30:

- nate robinson turnover (traveling)
- nic batum an open three because jefferson over-helped on a felton drive
- david lee misses a forced long jump-hook
- GSW forces a 24-sec violation
- thompson hits another big three to keep Ws within 2
- nate commits a dumb foul 40 feet from the basket at the minute-mark, setting up the penalty from there forward
- wesley hits a tough jumper
- nate misses a mid-range, cork-screw jumpshot, heavily guarded
- wesley makes a fading 3
- nate drives against 3 guys, ignores several wide open shooters (including hot klay thompson) and gets blocked

that's four pretty costly mistakes in crunch-time. nate was making bad decisions, forcing bad shots/drives, etc. i'll give him credit for an 8-point quarter, but c'mon... he was part of the reason they didn't hold onto a late one-point lead.

The Warriors pick, from a Warriors writer's perspective:

https://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawak...ick-odds-tie-breakers-and-other-tank-factors/

Some highlights:

Marcus Thompson II reminded us all last night that the Warriors’ loss in Portland officially eliminated them from the playoffs this season–for the 18th time in 19 years, by the way.

Basically, I think if the GSWs want to keep their pick they can, at max, win one more game this season. Two more and they’re done.

If they don’t go 0-9, the GSWs would need a near-.500 finish by either New Jersey, Toronto or Cleveland to get the Warriors to the 7th slot (by coin-flip or outright).

They obviously have a shot against MIN and NO, but the Spurs might sit their trio against them BOTH games (both those games are in GS). So depending on what SA does, they have 2-4 winnable games. There's plenty of reason to have hope.

Last night was a big game. One of the only games left on the schedule that would lead one to believe there was a reasonable possibility of winning.

I actually see them having chances at a lot of games.

vs. San Antonio. Who knows they could be resting big 3, still would be an uphill battle, but @ Oakland I like their chances.
@Minnesota. Kevin Love got injured. Not sure how serious, but if it is at all, I could see him being shutdown for the season.
vs. NOLA. Probably their easiest game.
vs. San Antonio. Last game of the season. Spurs may have their seeding locked up regardless of win/loss, means rest for big 3.

Minnesota apparently have not won in April since 2008 and have 23 straight losses, so this should be a walk for GS.
