What's new

Have you ever been on the news?

So I was on the local news the other day here in Texas which was fun. Got me to wondering how many of my Jazzfanz brethren have been interviewed too.

Anyone?

I wasn't interviewed, but my 3rd grade class did a science experiment thing on KSL's 12 o'clock news and I sat in front of the camera with the rest of the class while two kids did all the work and talking.

I've never been on TV, but an email I wrote during the 1998 World Cup was read on Fox Sports' daily cup review show. That was my 15 seconds. I won an official England jersey for it.

yes, one time in high school ksl did a feature on my brother who was one of the top athletes in the state.

Only on for a few seconds in some Children's Museum bit when I was like 9-10 years old. Showed me dunking on a 8 foot hoop. Aww yeah.

I was interviewed in front of the ESA a few years ago when the Jazz were playing the Spurs in the playoffs. I went to the game painted entirely in baby blue and I was treated like royalty. I remember saying something, then there was an awkward pause so I yelled out, "We're number one! Yeah!!!!" and everyone who gathered around me all started cheering. It was fun.

When I was on my mission Hurricane Mitch rolled through and drowned the country. I wasn't interviewed (and I have no way of knowing for sure if I made it) but a TV crew from Netherlands filmed me and my comp doing some clean up work after.

I was on the news for about 5 seconds when we held a walk out protest at our high school in support of a teacher that was being fired.

I was interviewed once by Max Roth of Fox 13. Several others asked me to be on their station but I declined.

I was interviewed back in Elementary School during the big teacher lockout back in the late 90's, in the 5th grade for being one of the students that got to go test all of the new food the the school district was going to be bringing the school with my mouth full of food, and twice in the last year and a half for being one of the Twilight character look-a-likes (I know I know) for the Megaplex Theatres at the premiere events for New Moon and Eclipse.

I bet you have a tattoo of a phonograph on your arm too, don't you?

5 Months Lifting hard

America's Most Wanted. According to the plea bargain I cannot legally say any more.

I would like to get this off my chest. I'm not buff. I'm not even remotely buff. I just lifted hard for 5 months.

Whatevers.

We all saw the homo-erotic postings of muscle bound Archie.

I talk to trout on a regular basis, and he says he's sleeping much better these days.

Stop being humble.

Incredible rarity! Tell more.

Sophomore year at Bear River High School. Doug Chapman was being fired and a group of about 700 students held a protest in the gym before school started. The vice principal came in and told us to get back to class or the police would be called in, so instead of returning to class about 500 of us started a protest walk down main street, through the town, then ended up at the city park where we stayed the rest of the day. About an hour after the walk out the news channels starting showing up and that's when I was on TV.

I was interviewed by KJZZ at the John Stockton retirement ceremony, but I have never heard that it made it to TV. I may have sounded like a babbling idiot as I was talking about a favorite subject, so that may be why. I also saw me on the news out at the airport when the Jazz came home after losing to the Bulls in one of the Finals years, but no one but me would have known it was me.
