Hayward Media Introduction

You do realize that Deron was on record saying that he wanted a big prior to the draft and that Deron is going to say the PC thing right?

We all wanted a big...a good, skilled big. It didn't happen, so we took the BPA. You may not agree that he was the BPA, but that's what the Jazz were thinking. Why would Deron say the PC thing in a private conversation with that Jazz brass? Look, I get why people don't like the pick. I'm not an idiot. However, everyone is going overboard here.

First of all, he wasn't even the best player available. Stop pretending he was. Many thought he was 13 or even 14 on that list. Second, there were some big available. But it is nice going into this year knowing that Kosta and Fes are our big guys. We have Dumb and Dumber playing the 5, YES!

Yeah, I think we are done here. I've made my points and you refuse to listen. You don't think he was the BPA, but others did. Simple as that.

I can respect that but I have a hard time with the naming call because I do not agree with what the organization does all the time. Support your point and quit the name calling. I am talking about some of your other posts. I am actually warming to the pick.. I didn't want Davis and even though I did not feel GH was the BPA I think one can make an arguement that he fits the Jazz system better than some of the other SG/SFs that were available. Personally, I am more upset that the Jazz didn't get another pick to get a big man.

By the way, I was thinking today of who Hayward could best max out as and Rip came to mind. I know he's taller and he's a 3, and not a 2, but that type of guy with average athleticism, with solid overall skills, who's somewhat crafty, and plays strong team defense felt about right to me.

You refuse to see the facts. Yes, we are done. I would like to know these mystery people who thought he was the BPA at 9. Was it his sister? Did she also think he should have gone number 1 over Wall? Don't answer that. We know your deluded opinion.
