What's new

Hayward SUCKED today 7/7

Hayward also had 2 rebounds, 2 turnovers and 0 assists.

Pathetic.

The more I watch Hayward, the more furious I am at the Jazz front office.

At least Koufos looked decent.
OK, guess which players had the following stat lines today:

Player 1: 4 points on 1-6 FG, 6 fouls, 3 TO's. To his credit, he did have 8 boards.
Player 2: 4 points on 2-5 FG, 7 fouls, 2 TO's. And 5 boards.

Um, the first is Turner, the second palyer is Favors. Damn, those 76'ers and Nets. Both teams wasted their picks. Cut those guys NOW! They each had ONE bad game...OMG!!!

Oh yeah, and please tell me which player shot 30% in the OSL, won a roster spot, then an eventual starting position?

Ding, ding, ding...Wesley Matthews.

Yep, we can defintely declare Hayward a bust based on his stats to date: 6-12 FG, 16-17 FT's, 4 steals and 5 TO's. Turrible, just turrible. I mean the guy has missed half his shots! And there is simply NO EXCUSE for missing a FT. I mean, no one is even guarding you.

I thought everyone looked pretty bad compared to yesterday, but that is why they play 5 games.
We need base our judgement on the entire summer league. Not just one game.
So far he's had two solid to good games, and one poor one.
Evans is 1-3.

I would like to see Hayward bring the ball up a few times and set up the offense instead of Sundiatta "no one's getting my rock" Gaines. Right now they are having Hayward run around all over trying to lose his man like we had to do with Korver. This is not utilizing his talent very well.

That sounds like CJ's role.. bringing the ball up sometimes and running off screens the other times.

Anyway for a 20 year old rookie he is playing about as well as can be expected. The only thing I would like to see him do is be more aggressive when it comes to taking open shots. In all 3 games he has passed on some pretty good looks.

I agree. The only thing that really bothers me about him so far in the OSL is that it looks like he's playing to not get yelled at. He's the anti Gaines. Passed up a ton of open looks and is not looking to create for himself. Hopefully he builds up some confidence and starts putting some shots up.

Don't let 'em bring ya down cyclo. Fight the good fight. This was posted 7/8.

The way Sundy dominates the ball, it's a wonder how anyone else is going to put up respectable stats. What is it with Sundy? He didn't play like this with the A-team. In the summer league, it's been mainly Sundy 1-5, and the other guys run around and watch, while the bigs look to collect the garbage, which is mainly how Kosta has been scoring.

count in 3 more blocks, consistently 1 for each game and again, the ballhog that sundi has become!

It is ridiculous to get all bent out of shape because of one game in summer league. I see a lot of positives in hayward but I agree Paul George looked last night. The real problem is Gaines. Sorry but the more I see the kid the less I like him. He is doing the Howard Eisley impression. Dribble the ball in the corner until their is six seconds on the shot clock and then force up a shot with two or three guys on him. I cannot believe that the Jazz cannot find a better backup PG than Gaines or Price, two SG with PG bodies.

They don't play 3 games in 3 days in college, nor even in the NBA. A lot of these rookies haven't played 5 on 5 games for a few months, he had a bad game, give him a break.
