Thoughts? I've never seen The Tudors.

I hated Routh and the last one though; God awful so anyone and anything is better than that.
 
I couldn't disagree more about Routh. He was the ONLY GOOD THING about that flick. I feel bad for him. It's not his fault the movie ended up as ****. He was spot-on in that role. I would have loved to see him brought back. As for this new dude, not into him.
 
I have to agree with Inn Dawn. Routh was great. Lois and Luthor were horrid. The casting agent should never get another gig in Hollywood based on those two choices.

I'll have to wait and see the movie before I make a decision on Cavill. That being said, I'm not excited thus far about the choice.

How about the new Spidey, Andrew Garfield? I'm not convinced anybody will do as good a job as Tobey did.
 
I don't like this casting decision. Not thrilled about the movie to begin with. I might just pass on this one and torrent it.

I think it is stupid to try to replace an actor that was in 3 movies of that franchise. No way it will be as good as the first 3.
 
Since Smallville is ending after 10 successful seasons, I am rather surprised that Tom Welling didn't get a chance to play the same role in the movie reboot.
 
I don't think Welling could carry a movie. He doesn't do much more than look concerned in Smallville (even though I have liked the series and liked Welling). He looks like I would picture a young superman but his acting is not strong enough to convert to the big screen.

People bashing the casting for that crappy movie need to remember the premise.

Superman comes back to earth years after he jackpotted with Lois Lane only to run away and leave her to raise his child. He didn't have the guts to tell her why or where he was going and for how long. She's since moved on yet he still somehow believes that he can move in? After cutting and running? Is this a movie about superman or about a pro athlete?
Lex Luther comes back to.... Uhh.... Create a new continent.... *yikes*
And superman saves the day by lifting the new continent off the planet.
