i know wwe has become a joke but maybe the rock can make it good again

I haven't watched WWE (or any pro wrestling) in years, outside of the odd match recommended by a few friends that still follow all of it. However I after hearing from multiple people about how the end of Raw was last night, I tracked down video of the last 20 or so minutes of it, and I was blown away. From what I've read WWE did a damn good job keeping this a secret, and it showed because that crowd reaction might be the loudest I've ever heard. Then he got back on that mic like he'd never left, and the crowd ate it up. As far as all-around pro wrestling showmen go, he's easily the best ever.

STill, I'm trying not to be too optimistic about his appearance. During his promo he claimed he'd "never leave" again, but I just don't buy it. He said he wasn't there to promote a movie, but Fast Five is right around the corner. His movie career is as strong as ever, and unless he just misses wrestling that much, I can't imagine they won't find some way to write him off television soon after Wrestlemania.

What's sad is that he can come in and be the best thing about the show despite being gone for years. Other than a few guys like CM Punk the product has become stale as hell.

After watching him in The Tooth Fairy I absolutely could not take him seriously in WWE, or much of anything else. And I agree that wrestling has become a huge joke.

Wrestling has always been a huge joke. That's why it works. Just like watching cheesy crappy movies. It's just so bad you have to watch.

I love wrestling. I don't give a damn how other people perceive it. It's (well at times anyway) great theater.

In my early teenage years I was a huge wrestling fan but I grew out of it around the same time I found out what a ****** was used for.

Edit- I can't believe the filter blocks out the correct word for poon.

Same with me. I love pro wrestling so much that I gave it a shot 10 years ago. Lasted 2 weeks at a camp in Texas and quit. Toughest thing I've ever gone through. I have problems to this day because of it.

I don't give a **** what people say about it. It's more entertaining to watch that almost any sports game, and unlike watching the Jazz, I don't feel like crap after it's over.

The Rock is/was one of the most entertaining characters in the history of history. He'd kick all your monkeyasses.
