What's new

Hey Braille, stay at home!

Conflicted. Definitely don't want him on the roster or the team but it really chaps my *** that we're making it easy for him. Sure, we're not buying him out and letting him go play somewhere else (pending interest), but imagine if your employer told you "Hey, don't come in to work for the next year. You can still pick up your paychecks but just don't come in."

I'm with ya.

Dumb thing is that Raja's such a tenth player on the bench sort of guy that this is hardly newsworthy. Not saying it isn't interesting, but he's...... he's a bad player!

It's not like he's making 15 mil to stay home like some stiffs have over the years.

Hey, anyone remember Keon Clark? How much was he getting paid to stay away?

Keon Clark got hurt his second or third regular season game with us. He then got traded for Tom Gugliotta. From what I remember, he was trying to make his way back cause we were in a race for a playoff spot. This is more like John Amaechi who was under contract but wasn't coming to camp and was traded on media day for Glen Rice.

Right now my contribution to the Jazz's success is somewhere in the realm of 'sufficiently more' than Roger's. I don't see the Jazz brass tripping all over themselves to pay me $3.5M for doing what I do.

i don't think the jazz are making it easy for him... raja's the guy who's about to start missing an opportunity to play and extend his career. this is the best thing the jazz could do, both from a chemistry standpoint and a leverage standpoint.

also, keon wasn't "working his way back." he never played a game after november of that season. he was a mess by that point in his career, and even if he had been healthy, the jazz didn't want much to do with him at that point.
