Hollinger's Friday Per Diem

Sorry, Numb, but I learned my lesson a few months ago. I will quote the opening of the story though, since it is awesome:

John Hollinger said:
Let me unite Thursday night's TV viewing with Friday night's thusly: (A) LeBron James scored 38 points in three quarters, preened in front of the other team's bench as he did it, and never landed on his back once. (B) That would never, ever, ever happen in Utah.

While we can't quote said article, we are allow to summarize them. I would, but I don't have Insider.

To summarize:

The Jazz are small, foul a lot, and get outrebounded, but their defense is really good. Their bench is really good. Williams is okay, but he's not as good as Chris Paul.

To summarize John Hollinger:
-I think the Jazz will play with more of an edge than the Cavs did last night
-the Jazz have made 7 double-digit comebacks
-they've beaten alot of good teams
-they struggle rebounding and foul alot but hold opponents to a low FG%
-I'm living proof Rogaine doesn't work for everybody
-the second unit has played elite-level defense
-if this continues Sloan may finally win coach of the year
-I know my projections are never right but I'm glad nba fans are still interested in my opinion

There are some awesome people on this board. Thank you for the PM(s), OR NOT.

In trying to figure out what is really going on, I came to a conclusion.
This is what Boozer must feel like when trying to play defense.... confusion all around.
"What just happenned"

Thanks for the summaries.
I guess I will wait when/(if) Holinger's article will be open to the public .. in a months time maybe ... unless somebody is kind enough to send Paul Millsap or not :D

so did espn threaten jazzfanz or what

What happened was this: a)the WSJ threatened a lot of people and b) there are external indications that ESPN has taken action against some larger forums.

One event would end the board (quite literally, it would no longer exist.) I advised an ounce of prevention was worth several pounds of cure.

And come on, it's absurdly cheap. Pay for something for once you big cheapos. Hollinger provides a service. Pay him for it if you want to use it. It's the moral thing to do.

Pay for ESPN insider? What insider? There is no insider. Any ACTUAL IMPORTANT sports news is available anywhere.
This so-called insider is just a few opinions of some ESPN writers. Pay for it? No way.
I don't need it and I don't care. Hollinger is usally full of it anyways. I don't need to read his comentary and I certainly won't pay to.

I already know that the Jazz are playing like true contenders. I have been watching the games. I have watched them beat top teams. I can see their record in the standings. I don't need Hollinger to tell me what I already know
