I'm among those who are less than thrilled with this trade. Truth be told, I'm utterly bummed out we got so little in return for Kanter. So, to cheer myself, and perhaps some of you up, I'd like to highlight something that's good about this team. Mainly, Gordon Hayward. There are still some people here who either don't appreciate G-Time or even still say he's no good (I'm looking at you Mission Accomplished).
ESPN has a feature that ranks the NBA players in terms of real +/- and WAR (wins above replacement). In terms of real +/-, G-Time is 18th best in the league and in terms of WAR, he is 10th best in the league (https://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM). If we sort by small forwards, Hayward has the 4th highest real +/- in the NBA, and the 2nd highest WAR, behind only LeBron.
In the midst of this possible FO f-up, there's no doubt that signing Hayward to the max was the absolutely right decision.
